Man I’m just seeing the “trickster gods rise from the deep” after watching the most recent episode where we learn Steve has been under the earth for millions of years. Soo good guy pennywise lol
UP - A theme for Steve. Chaotic, goofy, and generally representative of his clownishness. DOWN - The antithesis of UP and a theme for Cesare. Dark, grungy, and its lyrics supposedly tell the story of his ancient rivalry with Steve, on the assumption that the "you" being addressed is Steve. UP (reprise) - A theme for Penny, Billie, and Tim as a group, or Bigtop Burger excluding Steve. Though it shares its lyrics with its namesake, giving it a similar clownishness, beneath those lyrics (or the greasepaint, if you will,) lies a human. It holds a gentle melody, representative of their human spirit. Now all we need is DOWN (reprise) representing Conrad, Frances, and Doctor, which would copy DOWN's grungy, dark style, but would have different lyrics. To Cesare, Bigtop Burger and Zomburger (or Steve and Cesare) are ancient rivals, which appears in its lyrics. However, to his employees, they are merely rival themed food trucks.
since bigtop burger and zomburger parallel each other, i wouldn't be shocked if the rest of the zomburger crew knows, at least partially, about what's going on with steve. that'd probably explain why they're all okay with shooting canons and being incredibly violent towards steve. that's my theory anyways
So a thousand years ago Cesare fights Steve and traps him down the center of the earth but he has risen from his imprisonment and is ready to rain burgers over mankind?
Zombies stay in the ground. I think the song playing when Zomburger appears doesnt necessarily mean they are its protagonists. I also think Lovecraftian themes might just be a part of the Zomburger identity, and this song just gets across the point that the foodtruck theme is really a bunch of scrambled cultural icons for the sake of selling shitty burgers for people to post on Instagram pseudoprentiously
Durt The Elder THats what I always thought, but also in the song the 1000 years makes me also think that casere is more then just a regular guy that dresses as a zombie, just like Steve I think he’s actually a zombie but not like a hungry undead one. You know
I think “you’ve made it interesting, what a wild plan, to start a cover food truck” is him talking about Steve and that Steve created a clown themed food truck to cover up his identity as a real clown and not that zomburger is a cover food truck
Jake Dubiel the song is talking about Steve, I’m just suggesting that just like Steve he is what he looks like, a zombie. It’s seems like he’s been alive a long time with the 1000 year part sounding like it comes from The fact that he’s been protecting against Steve’s kind for a thousand years
Cesare: Sings about a 1000-year vigil and a sworn duty to try keeping the chaotic and powerful Steve in check. Steve: Sings about how much he likes Cats (the musical) and wanted to be in it
Semudara I do wonder if “Old Deut” is supposed to be a metaphor for something and not just represent a part in Cats. Like if Steve was a leader of Clowns or something. Or it could just be about Cats lol.
This song SUDDENLY makes so much sense after the episode Worthikids released. Cesare is a jailor of hell! He's after Steve because he escaped and now it's Cesare's job to send him back to the underworld!
That would be cool! It would give us perspective on why clowns are considered to be mythical beings/monsters in the BTB universe. Maybe Steve is just an outlier and really wants to sell burgers and be in theater while other clowns wreak havoc on Earth.
@@sparrowskeleton1831 maybe there is a difference between performing clowns and _actual_ clowns, and Steve is an actual clown (with powers and such) who just wants to live among humans and make them happy (Being an actor on Cats, the food truck business)
No surprise this is a great song, after all its made by Worthikids... Honestly this man is a master of the arts; art, animation, video, writing, music AND even game design. This man is a genius in the field and I admire him
Many a time now this song has either been playing out of my speakers or I've had it stuck in my head and couldn't stop singing it Many a time people have asked who that it is And many a time I have smiled and told them Keep up the good shit my guy
So as far as I can tell, Cesare has been tasked by his 'friends in low places' to hunt down Steve, and in order to do so, Cesar has started his own food truck and hired a crew of delinquents to destroy Steve and his business.
I think this song is suppose to be a back and forth starting with Steve to Cesare. The song starts with Steve telling Cesare to return the grave, as the video WIRE revealed the long feud between Clowns and Monsters. It then goes to Cesare returning to find Steve as a owner of a food truck, and claims he’s running from something and mocks him for doing so. The last part seems to be perhaps how both Steve and Cesare view each other as, with both viewing the other as a trickster god, literally for Cesare and figuratively for Steve, as both believe the other is the source of the problem.
Hot damn, with the new drop of Cesare's actual theme song, this now is perfectly describing their origins and rivalry. Steve was a failed clown actor in life, after losing the part he is sucked into hell and became a "real, actual Clown". A trickster god from the deep. Cesare is just a zombie. Steve is the one we should be afraid of here.
i like to think that Steve and Cesare were reincarnated versions of the vampire and leader clown from wire, but they're just idiots that don't know how to use their powers for anything useful so they just run apposing food trucks to continue the beef from wire
From what I understand Steve is a trickster god that was deep into the earth as it is also implied in UP, I think that Steve isn't evil but could be dangerous because of his reality bending powers and his randomness, I don't know if Caesar is some kind of non-human being too or if it is truly about food trucks but in anyway it seems that the two of them have known each other for a long time
You're analyzing the lyrics too huh? Like the Thousand Years part? Y'know cuz... Cesare worked a thousand years, and this played when he used his hammer.
Now I fully believe everyone in Zomburger is some kind of trickster hunter or like myth buster to keep the peace between the super natural and human realm considering none of them were surprised at anything Steve did unlike his own crew Cesar has been “hunting” Steve for a while bc he’s been due for his annual immortal Jury Duty for centuries but the crew just mistakes it as a food truck rivalry
i hope you release the version heard in the recent installment of big top burger! it sounds really good and I'm not alone in thinking it sounds really cool!
Hi everyone in light of these new lyrics, I'd like to return to the theme song UP, where preparing ones makeup etc. & travelling "up to the heaviside layer" sounds to me like the upper layer is EARTH, & the makeup is perhaps a clown face, & the lower layer is anywhere between a sewer & hell or worse than hell, & the underlying face is (??????????).........
Up sounds like a recount of when Steve was auditioning for/lost the role of Old Deutoronomy (Old Deut) in Cats. The Heaviside Layer is a plot element in the musical (but also a real region that exists on Earth in the atmosphere).
My headcanon is this clown planet has sent hundreds of clowns out of that cannon directly into the center of the earth and eventually they always get to the surface at which point the watchers (who are chosen by the original banished clown and believes the clown people to be trickster gods) hunt them down to imprison them for the presumed purpose of stealing their clown powers
