frit is glass ground up to various coarsenesses and fused onto compatible glass.

A real nice texture. Lovely job. Love something different. In the late 90's went to America and visited some relatives who had a lovely period home and had a huge barn and did glass fusing, plates etc. They gave us a fused plate with a sunflower design fused into it. It looks lovely.

Is fused glass suitable for doors? Would a bathroom door not be classed as a risk area?

I guess if I was doing this for a client I would point out that it wasn't safety glass - I've never been commissioned to put anything other than leaded glass in door.
