i use mine with AB Box and my Ac-2 is true bypass converted! sounds so real on live! im in xiamen,china..the key bar playing straight for almost 3 years now and it didnt gave me a headache at all!
@luk7pirates no not at all actually, this is the first time i hear it as well, i think boss pedals are more noisy to switch on and off. boss is a metal case and behringer is plastic casing
You have to use these pedals through a PA , accoustic amp or mixing desk. Playing them through a straight guitar amp does not sound good at all. they are best used with a lead straight into your amp (E.G output) and an other (Output) into the PA for accoustic simulation. You can isolate each and swap between them without effecting your own personal guitar setup by just switching the pedal on and off.
@browncitycrew I always use it at the front of the chain. It sounds pretty terrible in conjunction with any other effect so I tend to use it on its own with my amp in preamp bypass.
I just bought a Vox VT20+ amp which has a really good sounding acoustic setting, in my opinion, better than both of these and added to that a touch of reverb, sounds sweet :0)
@TheSouthdownband hhahahah What? Yes, I did feel like saying something about the over use of capital letters but that doesn't mean I don't play guitar. I am recently looking into a BOSS AC-3 and the ST-2 because my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus cannot create the kind of tone I am looking for.
Gracias
Not about looks, its about sound. Who cares what it looks like when it sounds good esp at such a low price. I just bought the AM300 version for $23 at MF and the AC2 (or AC3, can't remember which version) costs $130...its a no brainer
Whats the difference between the two outputs from the Behringer AM100? One says "OUT", while the other says "DIR OUT". I thought "DIR OUT" means the signal will pass through it unaffected kinda like what a DI box does
My Friend, I have both. Behringer's Timbre sounds nicer to me, but Boss is such a resistent pedal, not made of plastic (like the Behringer) Boss is always great, but the Behringer Acoustic Simulator is the best Behringer medal I know. They did a great job on producing that. Behringer is not so expensive either.
You guys realize that popping is a mechanical issue, right? The switches that come in these things are balls at best. For 30 bucks, I'd buy the pedal... another six bucks, I'll drop a brand new switch into it, and clean up some of the bullshit inside... and for 36 bucks I have I pedal that rivals it's 90 dollar... rival.
if you still wanna hear the different sounds this pedal will get check out this video it might help you decide if its the pedal for you! th-cam.com/video/Bq4vx68KKwU/w-d-xo.html
@cmzangetsu1993 6 MONTHS LATER AND WE HAVE YOU TO WORRY ABOUT CAPS LOCK? this has nothing to do with the pedals (just some wanabe trying to pu there 2 cents in) you must not be a player since you are more worried about how people type and not about what we are TYPING ABOUT! REALLY GLAD YOU WAS ABLE TO NOTICE I USED CAPS LOCK! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
Shite! Both of 'em! Can't believe i watched this. 1:19 am. Home from the pub, after a few, and I chose to watch this? Un-real... I've become a real boring bastard. I hate myself for this. Hopefully I'mm forget about it in the morning, but for now, this sucks. I don't even know why someone would want an acoustic simulator? Why not just play your acoustic? Get a job, and I'll get a life!
I like the Behringer sound better. Thanks for this.
i use mine with AB Box and my Ac-2 is true bypass converted! sounds so real on live! im in xiamen,china..the key bar playing straight for almost 3 years now and it didnt gave me a headache at all!
Cool points for playing nutshell by alice in chains.
behringer makes some great products at a fraction of the cost.. I have use the am100 in live settings.. Great pedal. Sound guy likes them too....
When you turn on the Behringer pedal, it makes some weird click sound. I'd rather use Boss.
I've got the AM300 and also does the same clicking sound. Besides that, it's a very nice pedal.
@luk7pirates no not at all actually, this is the first time i hear it as well, i think boss pedals are more noisy to switch on and off. boss is a metal case and behringer is plastic casing
I have, i got the AM100 .. it sounds great too, be careful with treble only...
is normal to hear "clack" Behringer pedal that haze to activate and deactivate? I have one and it sounds well, and it sounds like you too well ...
Hi! I also have the Behringer AM100, could you find a way to eliminate the clicking sound of the switch?

does anybody notice he played some ALICE IN CHAINS - NUTSHELL ..
Kryptomia Deathmetalizer yes, me
@browncitycrew I always use it at the front of the chain. It sounds pretty terrible in conjunction with any other effect so I tend to use it on its own with my amp in preamp bypass.
I don't like Behringer because of its plastic housing. Boss looks awesome.
I just bought a Vox VT20+ amp which has a really good sounding acoustic setting, in my opinion, better than both of these and added to that a touch of reverb, sounds sweet :0)

Behringer has brighter and cooler tone, but that POPPING DRIVES MY F****** MAD!
@TheSouthdownband Thanks. No it wasn't Jewel. Neil Young, Alice in chains, Wilco and the Lemonheads I think. It was a while ago.
I own both, that is very true.
“I’d like to rest my heavy head tonight on a bed of California stars....”
Whats the difference between the two outputs from the Behringer AM100? One says "OUT", while the other says "DIR OUT". I thought "DIR OUT" means the signal will pass through it unaffected kinda like what a DI box does
Out goes to another pedal or amp. Direct out or Line out is supposed to go to a PA system or a soundcard
God. Behringer rules, definitely. Perfect example of how price is not related to quality.
why, when you switch on/off the AM100, it make noise?
It sounds almost the same ? lol not sure what the pop is though
Nutshell !!!
My Friend, I have both. Behringer's Timbre sounds nicer to me, but Boss is such a resistent pedal, not made of plastic (like the Behringer)

were would the ac- 2 go in a pedal board?
Behringer wins!, i got bunches of amps from those guys, great guys!
BOSS FTW!!
(I don't think that all BOSS pedals are really good. Its just that all of them kinda work well by itself)
Sounds like a bass cut-treble boost to me.
thanks!
My behringer doesnt pop, what gives?
My Behringer AM100 don't pop like that, I must be lucky!
Of course, the Behringer has that nasty pop that a noise gate wouldn't cut...
You guys realize that popping is a mechanical issue, right? The switches that come in these things are balls at best. i like Behringer and i will go with Behringer...so funny why so many you guys still don't know where the battery component are...lol
behringer is very good for the price
No, never tried it. I have sold the pedal now so can't give it a go.
It just get the sound bad so it sounds like a low cost acoustic guitar with low cost pick up.
@TheSouthdownband Dude, turn your Caps Lock off.
NEIL YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
suena mejor el Behringer :o
Sounds like a Behringer just sounds like a nasty piezo pickup
beringer genera tierra
if you still wanna hear the different sounds this pedal will get check out this video it might help you decide if its the pedal for you!
th-cam.com/video/Bq4vx68KKwU/w-d-xo.html
