      You're welcome and thank you! Congrats on the wheels. Good luck, I'm sure it'll go well. It's an easy setup. Have fun testing them out!

    Definitely looking good it takes a lot of patience for sure 👍

      Thank you! Yeah, being a WPL owner taught me that patience level. I still like instant results but this one I'm willing to take my time with. Building a custom 24 scale MOA is not an easy thing to accomplish!

    That moa looks great ! Still haven't done much with mine, but I love couch and table crawling with it.

      It's been a 2 month long work in progress. It still suffers from browning out on the rear motor because it's running a single ESC with dual outputs without a BEC. I want to run brushless in these and it's going to take some custom milling axle tubes to get it done. It's fun on some stuff but it's not ready for prime time quite yet.

      Yeah, they're sweet for this rig. Can't wait to really test them out on some rock.

      Thank you! When this thing is finally ready to go, it's going to be so crazy. It runs now but it needs brushless. Working on that.

    Just fitted up a set and have another set today. Some good tips here. Rebuilding the first set due to uneven seat. Very helpful and will share

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! It's still a little bit of a work in progress. Right now it runs on a dual output ESC with no BEC. I'm kind of half waiting for Chad to release his upgrade idea for being able to mount Furitek Springtail motor & gearboxes on the axles. As well, I'm thinking of tooling up to be able to mill a brass upgrade option, myself. Not to give away any secrets but it's just an idea I've been kicking around. So, long story short, it's still not quite ready for prime time. Soon, though. Soon. It's been a project very long in the works and I just hope the time I'm taking pays off in the end. I think it will.

      I'd suggest starting with a Dashex Z2 and take it from there. You can find them at AliExpress. The Basher Rocksta doesn't appear to be coming back in stock any time soon and the HBX 24 scale monster truck has 4WD and 4WS but I'm not sure if it's MOA. I can't find any good photos of both axles. Since nothing really exists for these, it's taking awhile to get it going. Plus, I decided to build two other rigs in the meantime.

      Thank you, I really appreciate the compliment. My pleasure and I'm happy people watch the vids and gain something from them. New computer arrived last week, took a few days to get rebuilt and adjusted to my liking. Rained all weekend. So, I tried to do a video about my Z2 MOA build and discovered the ESC isn't the right one. Go figure. I may have that uploaded this week. We shall see. Thanks very much for being here!

    Looks like tedious work brother but you nailed it, those tires look killer on that rig too and that little bit of ground clearance is gonna make a huge improvement 👍👍👍👍👍

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Tedious but not too bad. It's hard to imagine building a set of full size Superclass wheels and tires. Cut & shut is new ground for me but I may to have to enter that territory sometime in the future. I can't wait to get the MOA fully up and running. Little by little, it's getting there.

    I feel like a set of curved lexan body trimmers would be ideal. Thoughts?

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, agreed! Anything to give it that curved advantage.

    What OD in millimeters is the 1.8" front face ?

  • @ADHDNME777
    @ADHDNME777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Im trying a set of 1.55 tires on my 1.8's.
    Have you tried that yet?

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, there's a point at which 1/24 scale tried to become 1/18 scale and I wasn't having anything to do with it. Larger wheels on small chassis takes away f=some of the "drivability" of some rigs. It doesn't work well for everything. I pretty much run Scramblers and the larger Pin Comps from Injora and that's it. Totally proven tires. Jconcepts just released the Rupture in 1 inch. Those are SICK comp tires.

    • @ADHDNME777
      @ADHDNME777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @VermontScaleCustoms I really enjoy scale but they handle like crap. Im experimenting with a few ideas right now.

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Injora pins and Scramblers are definitely large enough to cut even the most technical lines. 1.8 only gives leverage on break overs otherwise you have to make room in your lines for a wider, taller rig that takes a mile to turn because of such large wheels.
      At some point, it’s worth it to look at the 18th scale realm because that would make more sense with trying to push 24th well beyond what it was designed and intended.

    How tall are the mounted on the wheel?

    • @VermontScaleCustoms
      @VermontScaleCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      72.5mm x 22mm mounted, without foams. They don't need them. So-so traction but they need a fair bit of weight to work properly. They're for a 1/16 with thick sidewalls. Nice compound, could easily be shaved down to conform much better.
