Let's look at the map of India from that time to learn the possible politics, alliances, and other interesting things that led to the Mahabharata war and ultimately decided who would win the holy war. Let's understand the geopolitics of Mahabharata.

    Even the Mughals played the 'divine legitimacy". That's why their thrones were always on a very high ground and nobody was to look at them directly on their face. Shahjahan even did this magical appearance on his throne. Jahangir commissioned himself to be painted as a divine being

Then before the emperor at the Delhi court there was a long list of titles bestowed on him and everyone was asked to lower their eyes... the throne gallery is almost 10 ft high so he was on a higher level... then there was door behind curtains. He would come thru the door, stand behind the curtains till all his titles are announced. Quietly slip into the throne and veil was raised to reveal him. Like magic. All fan fare. 😄

    The root cause of the war was hydrological stress due to geomorphology changes.
    Metaphorically, Indra favored Ganga over Sarawati.
    The Sarawati river disappeared causing drought

    • @TheFutureIQ
      @TheFutureIQ  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      War being caused by hydrological stress seems fine. However, it was more likely to be the shifting of the Yamuna (which happened recently (geologically speaking)). If there was a Saraswati, it was further West and its disappearance is likely to be much earlier. -@Navin

    Your hypothesis of geopolitics reasons for Mahabharat war is wrong.
    There is no evidence of Panchala & Mathura kingdoms having interest in Hastinapur kingdom.
    Geopolitically, lands of Panchal & Mathura are more fertile than Hastinapur - as explained by you. So there is no good reason.
    When Jarasandha was defeated, the threat from Magadha also was eliminated. So they didn't need protection of Hastinapur.
    Arjun won Draupadi at her swayamvar as a Brahman and not as a Prince. So Drupad didn't plan to marry Draupadi to the prince of Hastinapur.
    In Mahabharat text, the reasons of war are specifically mentioned.
    It happened because of Duryodhan didn't give Pandavs' kingdom Indraprastha back to them after returning from the Exile.

      I don't know about 1971 war but Russia - Ukraine war's real reason has been derived by geopolitics analysts.
      It's de-dollarisation!
      Dollarisation created the conflict between Russia & Ukraine. So for de-dollarisation to complete, the conflict should end - by means of a war.
