Also BD-1 is a very beloved character, much more than D-O! If you get this set on sale I think it will be a good investment. Great vid as always Jake
I agree with you on: Obi Wan's starfighter, Republic fighter tank (for the minifigs the built is awful) and Inquisitor ship. Disagree with you: The dioramas will go up really well in the long term, BD-1 is a great built/display and the gunship is a gunship.
Boba Fett does have the jet pack in both the starship and throne sets. The difference with the microfighter is it excludes the rangefinder. That’s what makes it exclusive, lol. I have looked at these minifigs and see no difference other than the rangefinder missing from the microfighter version.
I am big on the Ferrix Andor set, the show is just so good and people are starting to get into that were skiddish last year. I think the popularity of the show will go up as time moves forward as people realize how friggen awesome the show is especially if it wins at the emmys, and will want the sets later on. Since these are so limited and not horded should do well. Luthen is such an amazing character and Id like to think people will want that figure in particular. Plus as you said, I don't think they will remake these figures since Andor is so niche, we may get 1 or 2 more Andor sets moving forward I am guessing if we are lucky. A lot of people have said it. Primarily LifeBricks and MandRProductions. Who are big Lego TH-camrs that are very affiliated with leakers Edit: more people besides those two, but I watch them the most

I am not saying only the rich should have the minifigures and how hard it is for some to obtain the most expensive ones BUT... What about quality?! I bet these minifigures dont have the standards regarding quality lego has. My 2023 Star Wars Hit list is: Ahsoka Republic Fighter Tank Inquistor Scythe Ambush on Ferrix Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama (at the $58 price) I'm going to wait one more month to see if Battle of Endor Heroes is still on the retirement list because I completely agree, it jumps to my #1 set if it really retires this year. I saw a StoneWars list a few days ago that said Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter was pushed back to next year. If Brick Fanatics says the same thing next month, its off my list.
Saw the snowtrooper Battlepack in a Supermarket here in germany for 50% off. I bought the rest that was available, for 10 dollars i dont think you can do something wrong with this set. Especcially if someone wants to fill the USC AT-AT, he needs these specific snowtroopers. Great video :)

I think your wrong about BD-1 for 3 reasons. One, its a great build and a respectable shelf piece from a design standpoint, especially at $100, being much larger, with almost twice the piece count, than the D-0 droid you referenced. Two, trying to compare it to a droid from a majority opinion, unpopular SW title is not comparable, especially considering how popular Fallen Order is. And three, Jedi Survivor did just come out so this set, even though its from Fallen Order will share in that hype, unless Lego decides to release a new version for Survivor. This set should see some great jumps for the next couple years. I wouldnt be surprised if it jumps anywhere from 50-75% by next year alone, seeing how well Survivor is doing, with talks of the third game already starting.

Hey Jake, awesome video. I was doing research on Star Wars TM Millennium Falcon 75192 and was curious what your thoughts are on that set moving forward. I won the set for free at a work conference, so no money into it but wasn't sure if I should sell it now or wait to see if it increases in value down the road.
im saving this clip, i honestly think u got a lot of these WRONG but i guess we will see. those helmets will do great along with a few others you said wont. time will tell and im looking forward to looking back at this clip in a year.
Hi Jake, thanks for great overview! Honestly, I do not see any rational reasons Lego can retire Endor Brickheadz… Other Star Wars Brickheadz as Obi Van vs Vader and Tusken raider are staying and Lego is releasing Brickbuild Yavin 4, so it should only increase hype for this episodes We will see very soon
I love your commentary on Lego investing but what a lot of people don't take into consideration when 'investing' in large Lego sets are the cost to ship which would eat a lot of the profit margins away. So for instance, you were saying for the Razor Crest "I hope this set would be $180 to $200" inferring that's a good return, it's not. The ROI on that would be very marginal and hardly worth the time and space 'investing'. Fees would be 15% so that's $26 to $30. Shipping cost to safely ship securely, packing materials etc would easily be $20 to $25. So no profits there. Hence most of the time, I stay away from big sets for investing. ROI isn't great. A $30 set that you purchase for $16-$18 on sale when it goes to $70 and shipping costs of $10-$12 gives superior ROI. I have sold some of my large UCS sets that I purchased for 20% off for say $500 only to make a paltry $100 bucks after fees and shipping. Hardly worth my space.
I have talked about this on other videos and you are correct! Facebook and other places to sell allow you to avoid fees and shipping at times. But to actually profit an ROI at 100% on that set it would have to get to $300 so you are right
nice video! Yeah Andor was a really good series. Miles better than Kenobi and the most recent Mandalorian season. Its a shame it doesn’t get more love. i gotta start investing earlier this year so I don’t have to rush fro everything at the end of the year. I guess i would miss out on some holiday deals though.
I don't know what to think. Agree with the top 6 sets you mentioned but they are so obvious there will be millions of them hoarded by investors. I am going to diversify a little more and hold some B-C rated sets as well. Then again last years winners were pretty obvious also like anything Mandalorian. Tough year for sure, just try get the best discounts you can ..
@@JakesBricks hi Jake. Do you think the cantina is being hoarded? I think there's a high possibility that people think it's gonna triple in price after retirement

Honestly, I do not see any rational reasons Lego can retire Endor Brickheadz… Other Star Wars Brickheadz as Obi Van vs Vader and Tusken raider are staying and Lego is releasing Brickbuild Yavin 4, so it should only increase hype for this episodes
We will see very soon
I agree! I was surprised to see it on brickfanatics retiring list last this month. We will see
I love your commentary on Lego investing but what a lot of people don't take into consideration when 'investing' in large Lego sets are the cost to ship which would eat a lot of the profit margins away.
But to actually profit an ROI at 100% on that set it would have to get to $300 so you are right
Great video - basing the grading system on MSRP is great - keeps people who don't do their homework from flooding into all the best sets.
Agreeeeed! 💪
36:00 if it drops to $60, I could just about justify it
True true!
End of year has better sales though… keep that in mind
I don't know what to think. Agree with the top 6 sets you mentioned but they are so obvious there will be millions of them hoarded by investors. I am going to diversify a little more and hold some B-C rated sets as well. Then again last years winners were pretty obvious also like anything Mandalorian. Tough year for sure, just try get the best discounts you can ..
Ya this year my be tough for Star Wars sets… who knows really 🤷♂️🤷♂️
The cantina is not retired in 2023 ?
No. It's next year.
@@josiahlee4512 so basically its resale value won't shoot up after retirement right
What Josiah said… looks like 2024
@@JakesBricks hi Jake. Do you think the cantina is being hoarded? I think there's a high possibility that people think it's gonna triple in price after retirement
Am i the only one anoyed by him saying “Taun Wey”
Wait how do you pronounce it??? 🤷♂️
Love the vid but it’s Ton Wii not Ton Way
Always appreciate the correction! Thx!!
1:56 Glad you call the Slave 1 by its proper name. Disney is trying to cancel the word slave, but I will never call it anything other than the Slave 1. Black people are not offended by this. It's just Disney doing what they do these days.
I mean I am certainly not in the business of calling something out of principal... It's just what I remember calling it as a kid
Waiting for Harry Potter
I’ll add it to the list
@JakesBricks I'd love to see a retiring grade for Marvel / superhero (could add batman sets) themed video.
Love your videos, your enthousiastic view on legos and investing. Thanks for all this!
Your take on the dark trooper did not age well lol. It'll hit 90 by mid 2025 easily
Hey I’ve been wrong before!
Hey Jake, what do you think about a 43 euro Skywalker helmet? At 70 I agree it's not a great investment, would you consider it a great deal at 43?
Thx
43 is not bad should be worth 80-85 euro right after retirement so that’s a decent number
