    ABOUT ME: I'm James Dunne, a runner, sports rehabilitation therapist (similar to physical therapist) and coach based in the UK (Norwich and London).
    Since 2007 I've been working with athletes focusing specifically on helping distance runners and triathletes overcome injury and improve performance through developing their individual running technique.
    Running biomechanics and physical therapy are real passions of mine. I love to help runners run strong and stay injury free.

      @@JamesDunne IMHO dude on the video overweight (too heavy) like 10 lbs at least, more likely 15-20, that weights on speed obviously.. Like big cargo horse trying to win that sprint, while technique is ok..

    Absolutely love your work mate! Running form is such an underrated way to improve all aspects of running.
    Also if you ever want to analyse someone else's running form I'd be a very willing candidate 😉

    To be honest, I thought his running form looked really good, but it’s really insightful what you managed to identify. I also wonder if he is clenching his fists too much, and if that is causing stiffness in his running?

    It seems like the forefoot strike is a tad bit forced with a strong plantar flexion and a tiny overstride. I would relax the foot a bit and let it fall down mostly naturally. Otherwise looks great 👍

    #Sir I want to run sub 22 minutes 5k for military recruitment.. My current time is barely 23.30seconds
    I've tried long run for more than 3months continuously.. Little bit of speed workout.. In between long runs..
    Not improving at all.. 😢
    In my 3rd mile I get fatigue, out of breathe and it feels like walking at the end of the race.. 😢

      Sounds like you need more speed work to get comfortable at the goal pace and getting specific in the long run and not just doing long slow distance

    I wonder if that is his natural running form… I might be wrong, but looks like he is over thinking his running form while recording. Especially the way he hits the ground with his forefoot looks unnatural.

    • @GrassFedKao
      @GrassFedKao หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s just how forefoot strikers are. It does look unnatural but that’s the nature of the different strikes

      @@GrassFedKao Natural forefoot striking shouldn’t look unnatural. This just looks forced in my opinion. The way he is boarderline over striding as well makes me think he is a natural heel striker overthinking things.
