I get the point we are all frustrated but I couldn't agree less about these 'oven ready' players. Who exactly are they? 4 5 6 7million is our max spend at a stretch..proven CL players don't come at that price and lets face it don't come to play SPFL. We need to get real. Would anybody not want ccv, jota, kyogo, oreilly n hopefully now palma in our team..these were all bought speculatively as projects.
I think we've been v unfortunate in CL this year n could easily be on 5 point but we are not so we go again.
I'd rather us be solvent competing for trophies domestically every year rather than throwing silly money to get beaten in last 16 of CL. Its only 30 years since we nearly went under and Rangers have shown fiscal ineptitude gets you precisely nothing!!
We'll look back on these times as halcyon days but of course a eurooean run would be the icing on top.

We are a massive club who plays in front of 60,000 fans every 2nd week, we win trophies, hero worship players if deserved and if players wish they can use us as a stepping stone after 2 or 3 years to a better league. Dont tell me we can't attract good players, pay decent fees and decent wages. Sick of some fans whinging we can't afford it or players don't want to play in the SPFL, absolute bollocks there is a balance. Nobody is saying spend wrecklessly but we can spend more and we can spend more wisely. There are bargains to be had but also some times you need to spend the going rate exactly what our board ask for our players but don't want to do it when it is the other way round.

Genuinely what chance does brendan rodgers have when the board don't supply him with players that can make a real impact to break into team or players that can go straight into team and makes us instantly better . What use is millions in the bank just to get pumped every season in Europe , we don't need 10/15 million pound players but 3/4 players in 5 million bracket .. I spend a fortune travelling away in Europe for same shit ... we have a tremendous manager who given the tools can improve us , but giving him prospects won't do the job

Brendan smirked at fans when he came in and said those who don't believe in me see you in May. He also said he wanted to try and get European football after Christmas. He also said he wanted more power in the midfield.

But... he came back in with an arrogance of 'see you in May' and has hinted at wanting European football after Christmas as a goal. If he fails those goals and still wins us the league I'll be satisfied but after that it's all on him no excuses, he came back here knowing the way the club operates and transfer policy and all that and it's all on him what targets he sets for the club and fans. His record in Europe is bad throughout his career.

We’ve played incredibly well in the competition. The incorrect sending off of Daizen against one of the best clubs in the world, made it impossible for us to compete. Up to that point, we were still in the game and doing ok. Brendan is a great manager and player developer. He needs more quality in the team which is down to the board. We have too many development players and not enough fully developed, quality player. Hopefully, January will bring more of these but we are very fortunate to have such a great manager at Celtic.
