A lot of us don't want him back, but others are fickle ... it's a backwards step by the club who should be looking at managers who can finally improve our European form
Doing something with Celtic in Europe is a big challenge, due to the financial disparity, and with the new CL format starting next season, its the place to be. The English Championship is very unappealing.
It seems strange going to a team that will finish first or second every year. He needs a challenge to re-build his career. It is difficult to get a Premier League job unless you are foreign. His recent career has been poor!

I honestly can’t stand 99% if you snobby English. Celtic are a bigger club than most of the PL. We’re in the Champions League, we don’t get 100s of millions of pounds every year. Clearly no ambition going back to a naff league like that. Wants the easy option of winning a league title in a mickey mouse league. Win the league then get show up in Europe and before any Celtic fans pipe up about your budget against teams in Europe just remember your budget compared to the teams you face in Scotland. It works both ways 😉
I think managers fancy competing in Europe. If Celtic under Rodger’s can go one better than Rangers did and win the Europa League his stock will go right up
Silly question. He will have CL football. He wants to change the narrative over last stint: he won trophies, but no one remembers that. If/when he returns to EPL he will have won trophies, and more than likely done well in Europe. QED
Brendan relegated Leicester. He grabbed his coat when he knew he couldn't turn it around after the path he choose , crying about funds, sucking up to media. Go to Loch Ness, the only thing they got close to Messi talent is Nessy!
He'll go there and smash the league. It's a 1 team league and half decent manager could win the league with the best players and most money. Celtic isn't a bit team around the world. It's a big team in Scotland that's it
The fact is he has no other options because he’s messed up in the English League. He knows he can make a success of it at Celtic, best thing for him is to do that, hit the reset button on his career, erase a few memories and springboard back to the Premier League again off his success. He’s shrewd.
They often say that you should never go back, especially if you have been particularly successful the first time as it's only human nature to compare and it rarely works out. Having said that, I might be tempted to add that Rodgers probably has an easier task this time round because I don't know how many people really rate Michael Beale across at Ibrox but one thing's for sure he's no Steven Gerrard.
Celtic fan for 50 years, Rogers is not the guy to take Celtic forward. I dont rate him. won everything on his first visit but was playing against No opposition as Rangers where in a major transition. The Big No, for me is Rogers is Useless in Europe, He was responsible for 2 of our Clubs biggest defeats in their history against PSG. We should be going in a different direction if the true ambition of the Club is some form of European success and for me That is the only success that truly matters as Success in Scotland is just about as near a certainty as its possible to get.

Do these guys not do their research? Brendan isn't coming back to win league cups in Scotland. He's asked to be backed in Europe. He wants the board to to invest in the players and infrastructure necessary to drive the cub forward in Europe. Rodgers wants to see the football operation reshaped. I think Van Bronkhorst proved at Rangers (with less money and arguably worse players) that the gap in Europe can be closed on the Park by better game Management. Neil Lennon and Gordon Strachan both took Celtic into the last 16 of the Champions League with less money and sides assembled on a lesser Budget. The issue at Celtic since 2012 hasn’t been money it’s been due to to the lack of a Plan B or more pragmatic approach to problem solving in Europe. Deila ,Rodgers and Postecoglou all set up teams with the same Formation every week with the same 11 playing the same way ,now whilst that may work playing against the mediocre sides on the Domestic front you cannot hope to rock up against the likes of Barcelona ,Madrid or PSG with the same 11 ,same setup and same tactics. That is the issue Brendan has had at Liverpool (even with big spending ) Celtic and Leicester hasn’t been money ,it’s been purely down to a stubborn belief that one system or approach will be successful regardless of who he plays. That needs to change this time round at Celtic. If Rangers can reach a major European Final then there is no reason Celtic can’t. We have the finances to improve the team we have. That’s a Treble winning side btw who went toe to toe with Madrid for 60 minutes in the Bernabeu.

Rogers took the Celtic job the first time as a way to rebuild his career.
The minute a Premier League job was offered he took it.
If he goes to Celtic again expect history to repeat itself.
If I were an owner I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.
I have never heard anyone who can talk for 10 minutes like Rodgers does and say absolutely nothing.
Mario Balotelli: "Best manager I've ever had ..."
A lot of us don't want him back, but others are fickle ... it's a backwards step by the club who should be looking at managers who can finally improve our European form
totally agree. Rogers was hopeless in Europe.
Useless supporters
... he's here now, might as well try rekindle the BRomance 😅
Didn’t Ange land a job at Tottenham by finishing first 2 years running?
Aye m8 to play champions league group stage football fs
Champions League football, a very talented young squad, a healthy transfer budget and above all - he's a Celtic man from a Celtic family. He's made his millions now he wants it for the love and passion of the club.
Wiz going well till the “he’s a Celtic man “ bit fuckin snake 🐍

Celtic should hire Simon's mate Rafa Benitez now that's headline blockbuster name.
You can never go home again, is a truth. Celtic need a new man.
He doesn’t want a challenge at Leeds clearly. Celtic is an easy life
Why would he drop down to championship when he has tye opportunity of Champion League football. EPL may have money but only 4 clubs have CL and it certainly never gonna be the Diddy mid-table English teams... and make no mistake, that is what they are Diddy teams!
Money makes a rich club not a big club. You will all do well to remember that.
Wether you like or not, agree or not, the simple fact is that Celtic are bigger than EVERY ENGLISH TEAM BAR 4!
This is facts! Celtic have 8th highest average attendance in EUROPE!
Celtic are ranked above Tottenham and Manchester City when it comes to "big clubs" GOOGLE IT!
Sick of the English Football Toffs thinking cause they have a monopoly on football which resulted in lots of money results in them being a big club... nah, yous ain't. At best you are mediocre!
English football toffs need to know their place!
6 Prem teams have champions league cups. More than any other league in Europe.. . Manchester city & Tottenham are way way bigger clubs than celtic... Don't know what article your reading..
@@garywhite8880 I agree Celtic are a big club but the league they are competing in is poor. They will never attract top players to that level. The English Championship would find out just how good he is . Leeds United are a big club with massive expectations and he obviously sees it too difficult a challenge and would rather win in domestic finals against the likes of Inverness.
@@garywhite8880 pretty sure at least 8 clubs in Germany have higher attendances or equal , man city have become a big club , yes with money they just won the champions league that trophy you won when their was still dinosaurs roaming the earth , remember Liverpool bought all your best players in the late seventies early eighties without any tv money to back them up , even Nottingham forest won the European cup and Aston villa , and Newcastle are miles bigger than you

Watch how many Celtic fans hold Ange in high regard if he poaches the best of what’s in our squad. I don’t think Hatate and Kyogo will be easily replaced and that’s only 2 potentially who he’d go after. Whatever manager takes over give him your full backing and cancel out all the rest of the noise.
Ange is shopping in a different store. He would take 1 or 2 max.
And they won't be cheap. Reo is easy 30 mil
It would be nice if they immediately reinvest all profit from sales of our stars to at least qualify from what will be the last CL group stage as we know it and we would be ready for the new format to boot HH 🍀
@@mattybhoy6373 Hahaha 🤡.
Easier up there isn’t it. He’ll either win league or come 2nd. Come back to what you know.
Could be worse, he could manage a bland mid table English team, with billions of money and battered by Man City every year, that must be brilliant fun as a fan...... 😁
Correct its as Simple as that
Second here is first loser. He comes second here then he has failed... its that simple!
@@garywhite8880 👍👍
If he comes second he's sacked and it's a nightmare season.
He'll win a bunch of stuff there, then drop them again as soon as a midtable Prem team comes calling. As long as everyone understands that.

I mean, he won't 2 trophys, he's won more than most and should've be given time.
I honestly can’t stand 99% if you snobby English. Celtic are a bigger club than most of the PL. We’re in the Champions League, we don’t get 100s of millions of pounds every year. We get around 6 million pounds for winning the league . English teams get around 100million for being relegated, unfortunately we can’t compete money wise.
But they qualify for champions league by playing teams that couldn't compete in the championship
@@overpowered8797 and that's their fault? At least they win their league to qualify instead of celebrating finishing 2nd-4th for the CHAMPIONS league
@@ajorngjdonaydbr no its not its because Scottish football isn't massive and neither are celtic, it is what it is, but to say celtic are bigger than most the premier league because they are in champions league is ridiculous most teams in the prem would be in champions league if they played in scotland
You'll finish bottom of the group hahaha hahaha
I honestly can’t believe Celtic (or Rangers) think they’re bigger than most of the PL. They’re not by any metric other than tin pot trophies.
Lifelong LFC supporter here, was more than happy to see this questionable character leave our club.
Money grubber who allegedly fixed his teeth ditched his wife and kids for an affair with a member of LFC's staff once he hit the big time.
No comment to make on his coaching/managerial ability , just can't trust the mans "Character" (ironically one of his favourite expressions in post match talks)
Doubt if you fella's will want to touch on this
When Celtic come calling you start walking.
5th, 5th, 9th, FA Cup win, Community Shield win plus UECL semi. That's superb for Leicester. Entire body of work, not just past season, needs to be taken into account.
You missed out relegated with the 8th biggest wage bill and expensive players
Why do youse give Danny Murphy the time of day?
Clearly no ambition going back to a naff league like that. Wants the easy option of winning a league title in a mickey mouse league. Win the league then get show up in Europe and before any Celtic fans pipe up about your budget against teams in Europe just remember your budget compared to the teams you face in Scotland. I think managers fancy competing in Europe. If Celtic under Rodger’s can go one better than Rangers did and win the Europa League his stock will go right up
pmsl @ celtic winning the Europa
Silly question.
He will have CL football.
He wants to change the narrative over last stint: he won trophies, but no one remembers that.
If/when he returns to EPL he will have won trophies, and more than likely done well in Europe.

did Jock Stein not leave ?
Brendan relegated Leicester. He grabbed his coat when he knew he couldn't turn it around after the path he choose , crying about funds, sucking up to media. Go to Loch Ness, the only thing they got close to Messi talent is Nessy!
Oaft. Patter is reeking mate
He'll go there and smash the league. It's a 1 team league and half decent manager could win the league with the best players and most money.
Celtic isn't a bit team around the world. It's a big team in Scotland that's it
Brendan Rodgers and all his family are Celtic fans

Brendan Rodgers as a human is a good looking man who is well dressed and well spoken. As a manager, If I give my real views I will get a life ban from youtube for vulgarity.

If he does come back that means he is getting backed heavily and Europe is his main priority.
If he wasn't getting backed he wouldn't come back which throws out those comments saying he wants an easy job to win trophies.
Why go back? Because nobody bigger will offer him a job after his Leicester stint
As much as Leeds are a big club! Can't see Brendan going to the championship as he has turned down Crystal Palace who are EPL , Think Brenda' thinks he can walk on to a top Premier League club? Ah what will be will be.✌️👍
Think it’s a no brainier for him .
Why come to Leeds when the club is in a bit of a mess, and will be right job getting us back up.
Easy choice for him I think , champions league football , massive club which he knows well .
Why swap that for a scrap in the championship with Leeds

Celtic were always a bigger Club than Leicester City. Surprised Brendan Rogers thought otherwise. Did well too help Leicester City beat Chelsea 1-0 in FA Cup Final two years ago, won a charity Shield & finished 5th twice & Europa League Football. Celtic won’t add to his cv. He done that part and it didn’t give him enough for the prem imo… going back won’t prove he has learnt anything else to change that no matter what success you have there. He will need to go to a different club, even if he has to step down to do it. Cos he can’t go forward in Scotland. He can only stagnate
Didn't he get the Leicester job because of being a success in Scotland just like Ange getting the Spurs Gig 🤔
@@Sean_EDoire yeah my point exactly... He did well there and got the gig here and failed..... If ange fails at spurs, going back to Scotland would also not do him favours. If he doesn't and fails he will have to get more experience elsewhere ....
@NvrMindm3 Think he's the type to walk out on any club. We all think our clubs are special but I have no problem with a manager or players moving on as 2 to 3 yrs seems the norm, with Brenda & AP it's the badge kissing 😉 Particularly Brenda who keeps on saying if it was my heart I'd have stayed, He knows Scotland is a pond & England is an ocean, Get your point though ✌️👍
Yeah I don't disagree, I don't mind him moving away to the prem. I'm saying don't get back there if you want to go forwards. He has done that chapter. Doing it again won't do much for him. Go to a championship club and get promo. Then he will have loads of options. Going to Celtic and doing a double won't change much at this point cos he done that already.
@NvrMindm3 BE a risk for both parties as if he goes to Celtic & Rangers win the league he be out the door 🚪 before he jumps & his stock be zero ✌️👍
