Am not mad at her hustle. She does what she can to make money, when some of you out her doing worst. What she needs to do is get an old truck instead of her good car and put all the garbage in the truck. She does donate, so she is actually thinking about others when she pick stuff up. At least she not stealing or selling drugs. Just leave her alone.

I use to dumpster dive at the local university when the students moved out. I worked a job but was thankful for all the things I found on those dives. Everything from art supplies to video game systems. You would be amazed. But the students knew because it was folded and almost packaged up knowing someone would come and find it. I found designer sunglasses and a note that said, I ran out of space, going to Japan, have fun.

Second, my husband and I dumpster dived in college every May after move out season! We got all types of stereos,flat screens and name brand clothing with tags on!! We’d sell it all on Craigslist 😂. One mans trash is another mans come up! Be blessed ❤️

I had a dumpster dive fit for a couple of months with my family.... it was a lot of fun, exciting and we had family time... we didnt do residential stuff, only businesses.... one day we went through a chain phone retailers dumpster and found phones, cases, computers, chargers and about 300 envelops with around $500 in cash.... You just never know what gets thrown away!

I used to work in a thrift store and the manager would always put the price of items expensive and then he would take some himself. So tbh thrift store is not my recommendations well at least the one I knew. They would also find gold and money in purses and they would take all that with them. Everything that is brand if they don't take it they put high prices.
Nowadays everybody is selling on EBay and other online sites. So the donations are picked through by the staff and they take what they want (I.e. All of the decent stuff) and they put the rest of the dirty, stained, and disrepaired clothing out for paying customers. If they don't have employees taking what they want, they have vultures who come in with no intentions of using the things they buy. They go through the store buying up everything and then they change the prices on them to 10 times what they paid and sell them online. Poor folks can't even get decent clothes anymore without people coming from the suburbs and snatching everything up and selling it.

A hint..when getting used clothes take a storage bin with you and put everything in it before putting it in ur car to prevent possible bugs infecting ur home. Open up outside and launder right away in hot water.

I live in the heart of a college town and used to dumpster dive often with a friend. Whenever someone would graduate (quiet often) they would throw or give away pretty much everything in their home. I assume they are from out of state and headed back to their home town. Got some really really good, quality, and clean items. Check college towns around the times of graduation!

I work at a Humane Society and we LOVE it when people bring plushie toys in for the dogs to play with/cuddle. Please if anyone reads this, and knows of places that have spare/old plushies, we love receiving these. Often, we give the new owners their new dogs favourite one to take with them when they are going to their forever home ❤️

Sweetie, nothing to forgive. It was amazing to see someone actually care. Last year I spun out on black ice on an exit ramp coming off I-80. Ended up with my back end about 2 feet from a ravine and not one person stopped to see if I was okay. I thank God I was in a Jeep and had 4wheel drive. Once I got out of there I pulled into the first parking lot and cried for 10-20 minutes, then drove the last hour home. People are self-involved and self-entitled for the most part anymore.

My wonderful mother raised us on her own and we used to live in Chicago and I distinctly remember going “alley shopping” as a child for apartment decor and other cool miscellaneous items
The little clips of her driving through the city and the alleyways just brought back so many good memories! I loved going with her on the hunt for cool things 😭

I agree with you, l helped a old lady today she needed to get to the shop a little way up the road, but it was so windy here in uk ,she was asking everyone who passed her if they could help znd they just walked by as if she wasn't there, so l took her arm and helped her to the shop she wanted to go in she was so thankful but l said to her it okay l hope someone would do the same for me .

I love dumpster diving! My friends think it's weird, but I've converted one of them into diving!!
I suggest as a Christian when I hustle & get clothes from various places I not only physically clean them but a sister told me one time 2 pray over the clothes, but if I smell the scent of cigarettes or any odd scent or discern any sensation I leave it alone or throw it out or donate. & do it before I bring into my home.
I keep the cigarette smoke items in a bag. Get it immediately into my washer and pour in the laundry detergent as well as the lemon scented amonia. It works like a charm! 😊

Neira2011 if she did this to my trash I’d be super pissed! They won’t pick up anything not inside a bag here. So she’s standing there, in the rain, ripping open the garbage bags and leaving the van open so it’s all going to be a soggy mess by the time they come to pick it up.
Samantha Edwards I worked in the waste industry for 7 years for Waste Management, I’ve never known the hoppers to open lids on trash containers just to check and see if the trash was bagged “inside “of the can. When the trash is dumped , it’s all going to be smashed and bags will be ripped and torn anyway by the blades . 😒. Most companies have the automatic arms anyway that grabs the containers and dump . Let this lady live. If dumpster diving instead of knitting is her hobby ...that’s her choice .

Yup. Gucci purchased Bottega a few years back. So Bottega is actually apart of the Gucci Brand. It is a high end grade A leather. I actually own a Bottega bag.
