The Awful Consequences of Everyone "Living Their Truth"

  • I have no hesitancy, brothers and sisters, in stating that unless checked, permissiveness, by the end of its journey, will cause humanity to stare in mute disbelief at its awful consequences.
    Ironically, as some people become harder, they use softer words to describe dark deeds. This, too, is part of being sedated by secularism! Needless abortion, for instance, is a “reproductive health procedure,” which is an even more “spongy expression” than “termination of pregnancy” (George McKenna, “On Abortion: A Lincolnian Position,” Atlantic Monthly, Sept. 1995, 52, 54). “Illegitimacy” gives way to the wholly sanitized words “nonmarital birth” or “alternative parenting” (Ben J. Wattenberg, Values Matter Most [1995], 173).

    I love Elder Maxwell’s talks! Those events in his talks he prophetically shared back in the day are taking place now and in much worse conditions. You can definitely see the days getting darker. Nevertheless, I rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ, and I know He will fix all of this and redeem the world at the glorious Second Coming!
    Let us strive to be better and do all we must do to prepare for that day so that it will be a great day in place of a terrible day.

    My Mom's husband was deep into the Church, when he his 70s he came to the dinner table and told her he is no longer going to say the blessing over the food, he turned to porn, internet dating, cheating on my Mom, he recently died a miserable death, the strange thing is that his church books were the most important thing to him. Strange how someone almost made it to the finish line turned their back on God at that late stage in his life, now I worry what happened to him when he died, when he once had the knowledge but turned his back on it .

      I would not worry or seek that answer. Satan will just tell you hes perdition. It's the quickest and most painful thing to 'feel, hear'. But, let the Lord judge him and you'll know in the end when you either see him in White.. or not.

      I know what you mean. Mine wasn't as long as your parents but I was married for over twenty years to a man who attended the temple weekly, busy in multiple church callings, made sure we always did FHE, scripture, read many church books etc... And we were raising five children. I was shocked when I found out he got into porn, then child porn. I had such serious doubts about the promises made if we're always doing our best that we'd be protected from the evils of the world, and to be honest I still don't understand that promise. I don't know how his after life will turn out but he's already missed so much in this life. Everything from school plays, graduation, missions, priesthood ordination, marriages etc... He'll never know grandchildren when they come along or any happy memories of being a parent. He's living alone in a tiny apartment with no friends, family or company. He'll die a very lonely, sad death. It's crazy how the devil can take over and destroy so much good.

    TRUTH IN EVERYTHING HE SAID 🎯🎯. We are seeing division like no other time in history and hatred towards our church. I don't understand why the good people of the world regardless of religion can't stand together and fight the evils of the world. Instead however, we're fighting each other 😔. People say we don't believe in the right Jesus while they're talking hatred towards us saying in the name of Jesus🤷. No place in the Bible does it say Jesus hated many but loved a few and only loved those who hated the most? Does that make sense? I just don't get it🤷. I'm so grateful for a prophet and leaders to guide us through such exhausting times 😇🙏.

    I really got sad when he pointed out that we would have to put up with this wickedness until the coming of The Lord. The only comfort I have is that the second coming could happen in our lifetime, but my ailing health makes it seem more likely that I will die long before that time, meaning I'll drown in the muck and filth of our decaying culture, and move on into the eternities with the weight of a dying world clouding my mood.

      I can relate, but I've been able to experience a change of heart and perspective that I hope to be able to hang on to. I've really come to appreciate the significance of the covenants that are available to us here in this life. The Lord can lift us above all that. We can be free of all that filth and despair of which you speak! The Lord can give us a new heart and a new spirit so we can be ready for eternity!

      The term applies to the condition they were conceived. He used it correctly.

    • @TacShooter
      @TacShooter 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@randy3440 Uh, dufus, I know what the common definition is. I am pointing out that it is an illegitimate definition. A child doesn't go from being a legitimate child to an illegitimate child just because one or both of their parents does something or doesn't do something. There is no question the child is the progeny of those who conceived it regardless of whether they were married at the time. They are illegitimate parents because they weren't responsible when they made the child. The child is innocent. Why is the shame cast upon the children instead of the parents? Try critical thinking. You'll be amazed at what you can uncover in this world. You might even become educated enough that you can expose false prophets and false apostles with one hand behind your back.

I think what I dislike most about your view is how easily you are willing to disregard the lived experience of people that have found tremendous happiness following their “inner authority”, and it seems like you have to do this to protect the erroneous belief that your belief system is the only path to happiness. Learning to love oneself and seeking to understand why we feel the way we do is one of the most rewarding endeavours a human can embark on.
