Agreed. But the 2018 team had way more names that jumped off the page in the lineup. This time around it’s just about making “baseball-y” plays like they said in the video. Just gotta do the little things and see what happens
Having Yelich right now would have been huge! How does this lineup sound? - Turang - Chourio - Yelich - Contreras - Adames - Mitchell - Hoskins - Ortiz - Frelick
2011 was the best team and most fun to watch play day in and day out, but this team is exceeding so many expectations that makes it probably the most special season and most fun to watch down the stretch.
As a long-time Brewers fan, I got to say I'm completely blown away by how good this team is. I definitely felt the team was going to be more competitive than many of the experts predicted, but I didn't think that they would be THIS good. It's the most fun I've had watching baseball in a very long time. Go Brew Crew!
Same! Absolutely. Like that Russell guy said, we play better baseball than any other team this year. Compared to the painful style of last year, this year has been so much fun to watch.
Living in Chicago as a Brewers fan is hysterical. I'm in the car a lot for work and being a huge baseball fan, naturally I'm listening to Cubs radio a lot...you would think the Brewers did not exist. The media seems to go out of their way to talk about every other team in the division except the Brewers. Not giving an ounce of respect. On the other hand when I was in STL, whos market actually knows ball, the Cardinals radio network praises Murphy and the Brewers organization for building a nucleus of young talent. They Cards radio guys even called for Pat Murphy to win manager of the year. Funny how that works. GO BREWERS!! Keep sleeping on us.
So proud of the Crew, it really is a top down total organization which makes it even more rewarding, everyone from the owner to the GM to the pitching coaches to the scouts to the farm system to the rookies to the stars, this whole organization really are winners, way to go Crew!
As a Brewers fan and just a baseball fan in-general, they are just fun to watch and they play to win the game. I know that sounds redundant, but what I mean by that is they try to win by any means necessary. In the past, it felt like they either won because they hit three or four homers and got great pitching. This year, they play great defense, they steal bases, they lay down bunts. They do all the small things that when you compound them all, result in scoring more runs than your opponent. The other great thing is this team is VERY young and have a lot of room to get better. Chourio (20), Frelick (24), Turang (24), Mitchell (26), Ortiz (26), Myers (26) and Hall (26) are all super young and not even in their primes yet. If the Brewers can lock down a few of these up-and-coming youngsters, they could be very good for a very long time.
Pat Murphy is absolutely the manager of the year imo. Teams that nobody expected to be good, to be a top contender for playoff seeding, this isnt regular in baseball. Ive got more confidence in this team than I did in 2018 or 2011, EVERYBODY brings major contributions
I will lmao if Pat Murphy wins manager of the year despite all the years we had Counsel, but Pat just simply deserves, all of those obstacles and adversity and the Brewers are now division champs. Unbelievable!
I think this team has been a lot of fun given the expectations coming into the year. New manager, very young team, a bunch of nobodies outside of Yelich, and bottom 10 in payroll from a small market. They have very good defense, some of the best in the league. Their starting pitching is decent but their bullpen is amazing, one of the best in the league. My only and main concern is their offense especially after they lost Yelich. He was in the discussion for MVP, of course that's very different now. They don't score enough runs. Yes, they can get on base and are very fast on the base, immediately putting pressure on the other team but the teams that are above them in odds all have better offense in terms of runs scored or better talent to make up for a worse bullpen. They won't catch the Dodgers or Phillies at this point but I just hope they have a favorable match-up in the wild card. They lose at home yet again in the wild card, this amazing season was all for nothing...
They are such a scrappy team. Of course I'd like to see them do well, it's just a matter of if they play loose and don't panic. The playoffs are a totally different ballgame...no pun intended.
This Brewer fan knows that the Brewers could lose at any time. They are better than last year, but they are not the team to beat in the NL. They looked like chumps the last three games, but they had a great comeback victory today. Their offense is way too streaky. Adames and Hoskins are the two streakiest bats. They have up to FIVE rookies in the starting lineup most days - Chourio, Turang, Ortiz, Frelick and Mitchell. The makeshift pitching staff has performed way better than expected, but they are showing signs of wear and tear. This last week of the regular season will be crucial. They had better stay hot, or else they will have a very early off-season.
@@loganv2002dodgers and Phillies will both have easier schedules coming home and the tiebreakers. The brewers should worry about health and playing well bc it’s WC round again! I really hope they win game 1 otherwise the pressure will be insurmountable :(
@@loganv2002 Even if we don't get the bye, we are not going out like we did last year. Don't have the Councell jinx. This team will win at least 1 series.
This is great and all but it’s the same story year after year. Good enough to make the postseason but never good enough to reach the World Series. They refuse to pay players like a Corbin Burnes or go out and fill that hole to truly compete for a championship. They will end up losing more key players this off-season and it’s rinse and repeat once again.
Most fun I have ever had watching the brewers. I would argue this team is even more fun to watch then the 2018 brewers

Nah man the owner never wants to fully fund a competitor. He's a business man, not mad but it is what it is.
Truly America’s team
How is that title working out for the Cowboys?
I guess it's time to put some money down since Vegas gives them absolutely no respect

Turang saved two runs tonight
Turang is just a gem. Absolutely fantastic to watch
@brendenwesterfeldt95 he saves so many runs. Basically hits HRs while on defense
Honestly I watch Arizona beat the Brewers last year, and I thought “I wish the brewers played like the diamondbacks” the genie listened
BELIEVE IN THIS CREW!!!!!
Defense and speed are constant. Pitching and hitting can be streaky.

Nobody is worried to play the brewers in the playoffs.
Why? Anything can happen in playoff baseball. The Brewers have the most balanced team in years.
I was deeply concerned man! They had me under the impression Counsell was the problem all along lol

There. They were beat. Again.
No.
Unfortunately the Brewers just can’t come through in the postseason. They only have 2 playoff round wins in the last 42 years.
3 rounds, but so what? Every year is different. I’ll take 6 playoff appearances in 8 years over none.
