ground plane is a copper layer in the pcb. removing this layer gives the pcb slightly more flexibilty and a slightly diffrent sound. original janes (v2ce) didnt have ground planes. This leads to a more softer sound thats less aggressive and adds a tad more flex.
Very hollow tbh, sounds like the Browns weren't lubed, which I imagine is the reason why. Cherry switches just usually have leaf ping which is why a lot of people lube on or behind the leaf, sometimes both to try and mitigate that a bit. I can tell here the overall tone of the board with this plate and the switches is good, but definitely feels like either the batch of Browns wasn't the best, or he just didn't want to lube them, which is fair, though I personally err on the side of lubing my Browns.
@@offbrandbiscuit Theyre lubed. There is not leaf ping irl. It is less hollow irl. Check desc, cf plate spacebar cut out changing to a 3/4 cut so it is less aggresssive. these are also rly smooth and nicest browns i've typed on in a while. ty for your analysis lmao
I appreciate all the soundtests with all the different configs, they all sound so good! I plan to have a browns and blacks build for sure
this board is literally too good
No bs, straight to the sound test. Much appreciated.

So sad this was wkl only, all the videos I've seen of this board have it sounding pretty darn good.
WTA what does no ground plane means for the plate? Tq!

@@offbrandbiscuit whoa!
Top mount is on the bassier side of mounts. you're confusing hollowness with resonance
