I JUST realized, after 3 years of watching your channel, that you're really the ONLY consistent SoCal coaster enthusiasts on TH-cam. Thank you. SoCal parks are soo much more than new Food offerings, Merch and food festivals. Yes, we may never get a true hyper or giga-coaster at Knott's....😔 Sadly. Have you seen Escape Designs concept giga-coaster project for Knotts? It looks incredible!
Awesome update today, this project is crazy, it's really hard to figure out what this new attraction could be, at least with wonder woman and west coast racers it was a little bit easier to figure out, but this one is largely a mystery, personally I think that it's a rollercoaster, don't know which type of rollercoaster, but I'm excited about whatever is going in this plot of land. One thing that I can say is that it's no flat ride or kids expansion, markers going towards most of log jammers plot of land and near buccaneer and swashbuckler, that sounds like a rollercoaster to me. Family or thrill, don't know, so we'll just have to wait and see
I had no idea that Six Flags was installing solar panel shade structures over the parking lot! That's amazing; a lot of businesses (I'm looking at you, Walmart!) should follow their example. It is never fun to return to a 200-degree car.
Whatever it is, I just hope they keep a lot of those big trees in the area. It's one of the more wooded and shaded areas of the park (outside the Revolution area) and I would just hate to see that whole side of the mountain become another concrete jungle.
Yeah, especially for a park that doesn't do much theming (for shame), the trees being taken out would make the park uglier, making the problem more pronounced.
Going back down for Scream Break and Flavors of the World later this month. Scream Break was actually pretty fun last year and Flavors had some good things last year. Seems like a perfect time to go and knock 2 events out on the same day!
I’ve noticed, magic mountain has been clearing trees since the ninja incident - it definitely has become a less lush part than it used to be in the 80’s & 90’s
Hey Dylan. So as you might have noticed the solar panels on the employee lot are finished and have not had the parking lot paved over. They are scheduled to pave over it this weekend so I’m guessing after the parking Lot is open for a bit they will pave over it or do that section of lot the same time they do the employee lot
Six flags is a great park but man do they really need a good theming and food revamp, that would take the park to the next level. I feel like they focus too much on ride count versus actual quality of the park experience. The food is just horrendous.
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land in June
Wow! So much updates! I haven't been to SFMM in a bit and I have been invested in the F&F construction mostly so hopefully this giga rumor comes true. I personally would like a Vekoma over a B&M as those two companies are the most likely according to the rumors. It's an exciting time for Californian thoosies!
I still think it's going to be multiple projects. My guess is a pathway to the underground or DC universe from the front, finishing full throttles layout, and a couple smaller rides like a power splash or some family coasters.
Almost everyone is predicting a single thing. Just one attraction, which is probably a coaster. But, maybe its multiple attractions, perhaps smaller, including restrooms and a restauarant and shops. Whatever it is, it wont be just one thing with such a large area, i think. At least a coaster and a themed restaurant to the coaster. Perhaps an additional tram up the hill in addition to something big.
I'm thinking if not a coaster maybe that surfboard thing that swings back and forth while the seats on both sides spin in circles. Hoping for a big awesome coaster of some type however also hoping they build a walk path threw to the other side. Would br rght around Crazanity and the boardwalk and better for those of us with a poor hip waiting til we pass 60 years old for surgery.
Idk if the footpath across the hill will be in the plans but it’s a good idea. Also a new water ride would be awesome. The park has needed one for a long time.
Dillon what do you think about Monte coming back at Knott's for seaon 2025. That's probably why they aren't getting a giga coaster because they found a Coaster Co. to redo the update on Montezooma.
I’ll be honest with you my friend, I’m more invested in the X2 updates. I just wanted to thank you for keeping us updated! I’m going in May, and I’m hoping that it’ll be open by then. 🤞
Well, you’re in luck! This channel covers all all sorts of topics, and will be back to the X2 updates. I’m sure a lot of people on this channel are very curious about the new project going on, versus rehab a roller coaster that has been rehabed before, since it is a very old prototype.
The small area repaved with plain white concrete deserves an honorable mention? For SFMM, yep, apparently so. Meanwhile, other parks like the upcoming Epic Universe, much less a DisneySea, are giving SFMM the vibe of a dead mall.
Those are major destination tourist parks. Not even close to the same thing. That’s like comparing the downtown New Jersey Hilton hotel to the Venetian in Vegas
I’ll take a repaved parking lot and shade any day! A few more benches would be good too. Honestly, if I ran this park I would have gazebos in every plaza, fountains, flower beds, meandering pathways… 😂 And a well trained staff with speedy ops!

Every SoCal park is so much more but six flags is lacking in all areas, it’s sad.
@@georgieee165six flags the best imo but thet do lack alot
Parks Bros? No?

Rumor is they are making room for a giga coaster 🎉
The last time Six Flags did a project this level was for Tatsu which makes this more exciting.

I almost went on the same day as you! I decided to push to a later date, hoping X2 would be really.
Did the finish working on the new Jet Stream queue? They tore down the bridge not long ago.
I hope the new ride (or continued ride) goes through Full Throttles loop. The makers made it seem possible.

This is what I kept telling people. You don’t lay fresh asphalt, and then bring a ton of construction gear to smash it all down and mess it all up.
Definitely going to be a new roller-coaster.
Its going to be a giga , i know someone that is working on construction there.
What else did they say
This is a certified dippin dots guy told me moment

Not just the food but some of the staff & also more mascots running around plus lower prices on tickets
That’s why you go to their food events. Flavors of the world is AWESOME. Super high quality foods
They are going to put A LOT of money into this park going forward. They are using Kings Island as a model.
This whole park needs a revamp, more shade structures/cooling stations for the summer, more landscaping, better maintenance, etc
@@TheBlueBunnyKen yup every park is advancing expect them to

How long were the wait times?? Assuming everything was a walk on being a Monday?
The park wasn’t busy so everything was a walk on 😁
CRAAAAAAAAAZY I freakin wonder what the heck will be the project 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Great update 😊
If they tear up more and more trees, the park will look so barren. Shading is an issue as is during the summer
Agreed. The vegetation makes it nice

This park needs a Sky Screamer because this one of a few Six Flags parks that doesn't have one
That would be really cool and maybe a little scary on the top of the mountain!
I believe because of earthquake they can’t place one at this six flags.

Was Ninja actually open to ride, or just running for tests etc? We are headed there soon, and Im so hoping Ninja is open!
It's open occasionally but mostly closed cause NO ONE RIDES IT

Six Flags St.louis new general manager has stated that RMC Boss is coming in 2025
Source?
Honestly, the trees and greenery are the only thing that make the park look semi nice so I hope they keep as many trees as possible 😩
I agree, and if anything I hope they plant new ones to make up for the loss.
Fulll throttle is a banger just the line has to be only so long to make it worth it. Short but has everything you want from a coaster
I like the coaster too. Good hangtime, profiling, airtime and the speed. Just a little short.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD agreed! cheers for the update!!
Blitz coaster hopefully like maverick

I mean do they really need another coaster? Invest is some more flat rides, and a new water ride
Shade structures and misters!!
Along with another dark ride

Soooo is that not a big enough spot for a dive coaster? 🤔
Dive coasters are boring
SoCal doesn’t need another! Emperor is just down the street.
@SkateClipsAndTips they are boring. I could totally see MM getting one tho.
Its obvious what the project is. They tore down the theater and all the trees to.....add a swing launch to full throttle! Obviously.
Its too bad those poor beautiful trees might be destroyed because of this project.
This park struggles with shade during the summer and this project will make the park look more barren
@@TheBlueBunnyKenHopefully they replant! More trees should go in around the park in general particularly the exposed west side.
Its a shame that they dont transplant trees much anymore rather just remove them.@@stephenn77
First comment
Hopefully it is a Dr D ride
Wow they really don’t want other parks to catch up to their roller coaster count…
They should stop building rides and just give love-and funds- to their existing attractions.
