A really good question. Both branches are almost similar, a few subjects vary but corr subjects remain the same. CSE is preferred due to the branding created. Always prefer IT over ECE
@@travellokj9930 Thanks for the info, but 1 more question, I've heard that in CSE about the hardware is also taught & in IT only software is taught, is it true? & If yes then which stream should be preferred?
So there are two branches CTech & CSE. In Nagpur u ll find ctech only in YCCE. The subject, for both remain almost the same. If 4 years of engineering have 40 subjects, then ctech might have 2-3 subjects more relevant to hardware. That doesn't make a very big difference. Also when i say Hardware, it doesn't mean you will be working on chips and making circuits, you will just be studying the hardware components theoretically
CSE should be given priority due to the social stigma associated. Next you should go for IT. But don't leave a good college if they are offering you IT instead of CSE. Hope this helps, do share with other aspirants :)
Since it's the first batch for these branches , it won't be appropriate to comment. The technologies however are highly in demand today. Having said that , i would suggest to keep CSE first & then think of opting for newer branches
Hello , Arpana.. well it's difficult to comment upon average package , as students often have more than one offer. The minimum package would be somewhere around 4.5L and maximum would be 16L , in some cases 20L+ too. It totally depends on your skills , and hardwork you put in. Do like, comment , share and subscribe :)
Pranay , it is difficult to comment om cut-off as college rank has improved over a period of time and also new branches are coming up. For General the cutoff was around 98-99% last time. I would suggest to be on a safer side, get atleast 95%+. Score wise get around 115-130 for better chance.
Bro.. Hi this is Mohit Pande. Aspirant of MHTCET this yr. Bro, can u tell me 130-140 would be a good score for electronics n communications department?? Pls. Answer buddy 🙏
Hello Mohit , it's definately a good score to get into EC. Having said that , it depends a lot on how others score, and which branches others are opting for. College is introducing several new branches like Data Science & Cyber Security. So some people might also opt for those branches.
Ideally the cutoff is around 97+ percentile. I would also suggest you , not to simply choose a branch because someone told you to. Do your own research , about subjects taught in the branch & if they suit your interests.
@@travellokj9930 Buddy, I had read on internet that the starting cutoff is around 140+, but as the 2nd or 3rd round comes, it lowers down too 110-120, can u also tell me is that true also??
Hello Prasanna ! The admission fees for first year are around 1,18,000. There is also integrated 5 year MBA ( BBA+ MBA) available. For more details you may visit the college website :- www.rknec.edu/Admissions/AdmissionMBA.aspx#
Hello kusum ! It totally depends on supply and demand, let us say someone from CSE wants to go to mechanical branch. Now his seat is vacant. Similarly such scenario may occur in all branches. In second year a form is circulated & on the basis of CGPA , you are given preference to swap branch. CSE being one of the most demanded branches, the vacancies are generally less.. so even in order to have a chance you need to be atleast amongst top 5-10 people in 600+ students. i.e your CGPA should be somewhere around 9.5+
You stand a good chance, there have been cases when even a 9.89 pointer boy could not get CSE and had to settle for IT. It totally depends on batch performance , the topper & if he or she wants to change branch or not.
Hello , Hostel is good enough , you can also take pg accommodation nearby. Hostel is not a compulsion. Seats approx 60 per branch per shift. Cutoff, 110-130 atleast for CSE in mhcet. Must have changed over the years. Do like share and subscribe :)
There are only 2-4 seats in each branch who get TFWS ( tuition fee waiver scheme ) & fee for those is 1/4th that of general category (around 25-30k) & to get that , u need to have very good marks in CET.
There is a good probability of getting CSE , but it totally depends on number of people who apply for the college and their ranks. I suggest you also apply for IT
Bro u made the video very smoothly. Keep the good work going. All the best for upcoming videos 😊

What the difference in CSE & IT branch?

I can get admission through management quota I got 72 percentile in cet?
Depends on which branch you are choosing, some branches have lower cutoff. The institutional seats have almost the same cutoff as that of mhcet.
Should i opt for the new branches introduced this year in SRCOEM
Since it's the first batch for these branches , it won't be appropriate to comment. The technologies however are highly in demand today.
Having said that , i would suggest to keep CSE first & then think of opting for newer branches

Pranay , it is difficult to comment om cut-off as college rank has improved over a period of time and also new branches are coming up. For General the cutoff was around 98-99% last time.

Depending on branch , it might come down to 120 . But be on a safer side , 130+
Bhaiya I am in sc category I have got 90 percentile in CET and I want civil branch.....will I get that branch ?

Hii sir... Sir I'm form hindi minority... I'm going to take admission in electronic branch ... Can I change my branch to cs or it in 2nd year....????
Hello kusum !
It totally depends on supply and demand, let us say someone from CSE wants to go to mechanical branch. Now his seat is vacant. Similarly such scenario may occur in all branches.
In second year a form is circulated & on the basis of CGPA , you are given preference to swap branch.
CSE being one of the most demanded branches, the vacancies are generally less.. so even in order to have a chance you need to be atleast amongst top 5-10 people in 600+ students.
i.e your CGPA should be somewhere around 9.5+
Please share the video with other aspirants :)
@@travellokj9930 okk sir .. if I manage to maintain my cgp 9.5 ... I can confirmly change my branch ... Isn't it??
You stand a good chance, there have been cases when even a 9.89 pointer boy could not get CSE and had to settle for IT.
It totally depends on batch performance , the topper & if he or she wants to change branch or not.

Bro , I have rank around 7k (95 percentile ) ews category and I am aiming for cs branch. So can i get this college??
There are only 2-4 seats in each branch who get TFWS ( tuition fee waiver scheme ) & fee for those is 1/4th that of general category (around 25-30k) & to get that , u need to have very good marks in CET.
There is a good probability of getting CSE , but it totally depends on number of people who apply for the college and their ranks.
I suggest you also apply for IT

No
