  • Paul left Titus behind on the island of Crete to put things in order among the Christians and the churches there. This passage from Titus 1 explains why it was a difficult job - and how we should take on difficult jobs ourselves.

This begs the question: can we consider the Talmud a book of Jewish fables? How much of the Talmud is actually based on the word of God? I have read Hebrew interpretation of passages in scripture, and many of those interpretations seem to be a product of someone's wild imagination, not an explanation rooted in God's word.

You are wise to understand that whatever we read, thought there may be nuggets of truth we can find, that we must sift everything through the Bible. How wonderful for the Christian who reads the Bible, to be able to identify statements that are not Biblical. Keep up the good work!
