This was a beautiful trip! I’ve still got about 4-8 years of work left before I want to retire, so it’s section hiking for me. For a while, anyway. But everybody has different wants and needs. I love planning the trip, studying the maps and looking up points of interest on the internet each winter ahead of my vacation/hike. Plus, the physical training through the spring helps keep me in better shape for the trip; if I did the whole trip at one time, I’d just become a couch potato! 😂🤪
Section hiking FTW. As I heard another TH-cam hiker say: Don't just get the trail done, ENJOY IT. I think it's very good advice. Take your time, and see all the viewpoints and side trails. 👍
Wow, Glacier is gorgeous! On your last day, the terrain, vegetation and views seemed vastly different from all the other days. Really interesting. I really enjoyed following you on this one.
Would you get something out of staying in one remote location for a few days, observing things more closely? Or is the changing environment offered by more frequent travel more appealing? Thanks for bringing the views and good luck on the next one.
Great video my friend, but I am a little confused...is this suppose to be a thru hike on the CDT only on GNP....doesn' t the CDT officially end at Waterton thru Goat Hunt? It looks like you went on a loop on the CDT thru GNP...?
Hey there! It was a section hike of the CDT thru GNP beginning at the Canadian Boarder on the Chief Mountain Alternate and going south through GNP to East Glacier Village. I did 100 more miles on the CDT SOBO right after this through the Bob Marshall wilderness and those videos will probably be out in the next few weeks! I can see why you were confused, thanks for asking and hope that clears things up!
I bet you enjoyed getting a shower, wearing clean clothes, and sleeping in a bed. The wilderness makes you appreciate life's simple pleasures when you get back to "civilization" again.
Thanks, nice to see you again. Safe journeys. ✌🏻👊

Really enjoying your preview and descriptive . . . ah! the memes.
This is so cool! Especially the goats! My sister hiked the CDT and I've always wanted to do it.
Thanks for taking us along with your CDT hike through GNP! Still swooning over those epic mountain views & best wishes on your hiking journeys!
