That shot is better if you start your swing from the left side off the body. Rotate your body, left, and back with your arm going with it. Then start youir swing with your wrist, going forward and up at the thumb. (Keep your feet an even amount from the the table) so when you rotate back you put some strech on tour body muscle so when you hit with wrist your body will return with your wrist and add free power by just hitting with wrist. Your body will act like a rubber band that someone pulls and lets it go. Just like doing the same on the forehand side. If your wrist goes forward and up at the thumb in a up motion the body muscles being streched will release with the wrist motion and you will hit a easy shot that will have a ton off power. Wrist forward for power up at thumb for spin, and body snapping back from backswing is free you dont and should not think about it. Its free power. Just make sure to hit it from the left side off the body so you have a little back swing from body like when you hit a forehand. That little backswing will give you more time and alot more power. Which is a win win then you get the benifit off being able to play more inside the table so you get better table coverage. Just dont rotate your wrist inward like when hitting a shot coming at you, just make your wrist go back to the left side of body and racket face open. Then in a fast motion your wrist goes forward and up at the thumb hit the ball as soon as you start the swing that will make the bottom off the racket hit the bottom off the ball with the face fully open so it is easy to hit the ball solid and with a ton off top spin which will make the ball go up a little fly fast and low and will have enough spin to bring the ball back to the table. By making contact as soon as you start your swing you will have max acceleration for more power and control and by hitting before your racket face starts to close it is very easy to hit like this and the motion will make max power and control. Dont keep you wrist tight and use a lite grip. I showed this to Yokoyama but he likes to make everything hard. Also a real shake hand grip when your wrist goes back on either side your racket face should be open then you just go forward and up at the thumb and hit right away so your racket face does not start to close till after you hit the ball. This is alot easier then rotating the wrist inward then trying to open racket face from a closed position to open. The Chinese hit like this except some start from a inward and closed position and some start at there left just below the waist with there racket face open. The best way is starting at the left with face open or with a little backswing (which will give you more power) I dont like the inward rotation off the wrist it takes more time and alot more work to open the racket head from a closed position and still have to go up to the thumb. Starting a body left with face open is easy and if you get used to it by taking a little backswing it will give you a little more time to hit and alot more power. All are good but to me Yokoyama version is harder and alot more prone to mistakes while also giving you less time and less power. I tell Yokoyama this stuff to teach the children so they will have very good habits and is an easy way to play and much less prong to mistakes while adding time and power and control. So the next generation will take second to none instead off just being the middle off the pack like Yokoyama's teaching while a head coach off national team. Yokoyama is a Baka yallo. I tell you this stuff in a way where anyone with some skills will be able to do it and get alot off improvement really fast. Quit making it so hard when I explain it to you and you get very good fast. Teach it the same way to the Japanese people so after they go to a tourney they will be happy on the way home and be confident no the way to the tourney. Qiut being a chump Yokoyama.
All you have to do is Open your paddle face then make sure you you go forward and up with your wrist. Forward towards the Back or palm off your hand and up towards the top of your hand so your swing goes left to tight or right to left. All this stuff he is trying to teach that is any goo, I have been telling them for 2 yrs and they dont listen. So I tell everyone how to do it and they beat China's best young players. And Japan finally starting to listen. If they listen first, instead off thinking they know everything they dominate the world. And now Yokoyama is telling people to hit a backhand with the paddle face closed and just open it. Well if you have a bad habit off closing your paddle face then you have to hit the shot with your wirst going forward and up plus open the face so you can hit it solid and get some spin. And also (Which non off them including Matsudiga get very mush spin because they do not have there paddle face open enough or get there wrist Back far enough on a backhand to even get any power or Kick. (Kick is the ball jumping after hitting the table) This is almost as bad as when he was showing the Backand drive. Which was this same shot these fools are trying to hit. That I showed Yokoyama long time ago. But he put his own garbage and ruined the shot. Just like he is doing now. Japan is not just behing China they are falling behind everyone. Japan is the first one i tell and finally after they cannot beat nobody they start to listen. he Japanese women are alot better then the men, and ones like Ito wont try it and Keep losing but Hiarno, Hiyata, and Kihara are starting to listen. And Miwa just got beat by a chinese in round and the girl that beat the chinese girl that beat Miwa was beat by a German Girl that I helped before and when she beat the chinese girl. Take credit you fools I dont care as long as Japan wins but you Idiots dont Know the first thing about what makes this work and that is a grip I told you all a long time ago, And non off you still dont try it.
