ive given modding a try 2 or 3 times a few years ago i think i might give it a try now, i mean i know blender ijust didnt know how to make it work in beamng stuff kept bugging
i learnt beamng coding through you originally but then used the official beam tutorial but i went back to you for beam modding cuz you taught more complicated stuff so thanks mate :D
Thanks for showing me now that there’s a tutorial on the documentation, I’ve had to teach everything I know myself and a little bit through TH-cam tutorials. Most tutorials are terrible because the creators know how to the things and don’t really know what issues a beginner will have. Someone who makes a modding tutorial knows how to use blender. A beginner mostly not. The best way is to don’t start with blender directly but to start looking at jbeam, learn the syntax, learn how to add new engines and then start to get to blender and try some modeling.
@@letsdrive_53 most of my videos have dropped the tutorial nature over the last half year, but this one is meant to be "the" tutorial - th-cam.com/video/_b9p9POjQOk/w-d-xo.html
@@fillman86 oh, yes, I’ve watched that. But still, this came out one year after I started modding. I’ve teached me almost everything myself by looking at the game files. And one week ago I finally found out how to do uv maps.

Ive been trying to do coding for ages but ive been getting stuck on the model part, ive never once had the nodel show up from scratch, but i did get an automation exported car to have a xustom model after hours of digging through its code (which is a win win for me. Definitely going to check this out tomorrow, i would do that today but its 10 pm i need sleep.
How can you transfer your 3d model from blender to automation? I cant find the open beta file that i need for the unreal engine step, you explained on another video
I think this is all a little above my head still. I think your car would honestly handle better with a solid axle and no suspension lol. Suspension engineering is not simple.
solid axle mid engine cars aren't seen because the engine is not softened by suspension, and things like fuel and oil will slosh about too much. Don't worry though, after the video I fixed the suspension issue and the version you download is much better
Hey man, I have a question that doesn't really have to do with your video. I try to import the ballon d'or, everything goes well, but I don't have this shine effect that I had in Blender. In BeamNG it is just yellow and not gold. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. THX
@@fillman86 I have another question if you can help me. I'm trying to import a soccer goal. They are fine, but the net is almost transparent when I set it to "visible mesh". Everything passes through the net. I tried to find an invisible wall in the game, but I couldn't find one (maybe possible to create one in blender idk). If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
that can be quite the hole to go down. All that information can be found in the linked tutorial, and just get used to using the f11 menu to edit the materials, then grabbing the resulting file from the temp files
