    The student uses just his arm to swing and does not use his body to assist. Notice the student first swings the racket, and then his left leg move to the back. That means he starts his hitting action by using his right arm movement. A lot of his arm energy is wasted in "dragging" his whole body. Tago does the exact opposite. Tago's whole body twists until his left leg goes to the back, and then he swings his right arm. That means he initiates his hitting action by twisting his whole body to assist the final arm swing to hit the shuttlecock. It is much less tiring for his arm, and his arm can transfer most of the swing energy into the shuttlecock.

    Aloha Coach Ken, everyone should view this video. Your tutorial on the smash is awesome, but the most important take away was your insight on the purpose of the smash. You demonstrate how defense wins out from both sides of the net to prove your point. A great lesson defense is the key to winning matches, not an overpowering smash. Also moving back and forward on the smash generates the power instead of the up down movement. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    I think this is the thing that makes Kento Momota A Legend in young ages. He LEARNED from the best. His SENPAI! TAGOKEN. SMASH not the solution. TECHNIQUES PATIENT & COMPOSE ALWAYS. ONLY attack at the right time and yet! SMASH maybe the LAST WEAPON. If Kento Momota can win the next year 2020 Olympic games should acknowledge that It is TagoKen's shadows at his back.

    As a person who use to prefer smashing, I am now more focus on improving my defense. So I totally agree with you.
    With that said, I find that I'm more naturally better at smashing but have poor talent at defense. I know where to return, the body position, and all that.. but just don't have that good reaction time.
    Can't wait for your video on secret of smash defense or how to improve them. Please talk about reaction time improvement as well for those less defense talented 😅.

  • @shinyokoyama8470
    @shinyokoyama8470 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You want to make this easy, start your swing with your wrist. Make contact as soon as you can and make sure your wrist is picking up speed when you make contact. That is all you think about. You arm abd body knows what to do, Then you will develope good technic if you cant do 2 + 2 you cannot do algebra. When you wrist timing gets goos you will here a nice pop sound. You can use this for all your shots, even deffence for a smash, you hit hard and strait with your wrist. The key to all this is getting commpression when you hit, you get commpression you get control and power. If you wrist power is gone when you hit the shuttle and your wrist is very fast so this is how much time you have to hit the shuttle. Just say bamm you hit the shuttle later then that the shuttle goes into the net most of the time if it hits just after the power of your wrist is gone you hit an arm shot it will be weaker and a blind man will know where it is going because your arm gives your shot away. If your elbow goes forward with your swing then your wrist is late and shuttle goes up. If your arm goes just before your wrist but your wrist is quick you will hit an ok shot but a blind man can read that shot too. That is why you start you swing with your wrist hit the shuttle as soon as pasible and your wrist has pick up speed when you hit the shuttle. Then it is much harder to read. A 180 mph shot hit right is better then a 250 mph shuttle if your arm give away your shot. Badminton players if they know it or not reads your shot by your arm. You know how Korea got so great, that trash Korean head coach for Japan was taking my information and giving it to Korea while teaching Japan the opposite. Now watch Korea will not dominate because I gave this info to all the players in the Korean tourney. Its not fair for them to use stolen info and dominate. Now it will be more fair. That info was for Japan to dominate. But that rat piece of garbage Korean coach gave it all to them. And to make things worst he was teaching Japan garbage that is unusable if you have this info. Japan s international coaches are trators I told them a year back Korea is practising right and Japan is not over and over and I told them Korea will dominate if they dont change, and look what happened. So if Korea has it I gave it to everyone including the Eroupeans. Now its fair. And I know when Japan starts hitting it right again I still have more info to keep them ahead. This game was a joke 3 years ago look how far it has came and how much more exciting it is. Well even the top players take my advice because I am not like that Korean giving all my good advice to Korea and just giving trash to japan. If I give advice it is the best advice I have. Japan has had a spy and a handfull of traitors running there badminton.

    • @shinyokoyama8470
      @shinyokoyama8470 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      PS the Japanese women international are not traitors they have no say in what happens But the men pure crap. And why does Japan not use more women for coaches the Women listen and try good info when they get it that is why the women are so much better then the men. That is why Japans mixed doubles is terible because the men cant play good at all. They all copy Momota and Momta's technic is terrible he is Jast a great player or an from outer space because with that terrible technic he should not be the best. That is why lin dan and Axelson dont win much any more they use are old school just like Momota. Lin dan is not to old he still has more athletic talent then most of the players right now. His technic sucks. And when the Japanese men copy Momata they dont see the good Techic that Momota use (because good technic all looks the same) they see what is different and copy that which is all his bad technic. And they dont want to change, This is all true that is why Momota has to work so hard for wins because he hit way to many weak shots.
