The stacking mugs are great for eating ice cream out of - stays cold and solid for a bit longer. And won’t freeze your hands when holding.
That’s a great idea, I’m going to try this! Thanks for watching!
I would love setting those up at a camp site, make for a real cozy evening with friends around the fire
Snow Peak makes some awesome furniture pieces, I love creating outdoor living spaces with all the different items. Thank you for watching!
Ugh I should've known the stacking shelf lids were going to be super limited. I only got one as a test, but now I wish I snagged a couple more as it's pretty awesome
I know right, I don't know what I was thinking sleeping on it overnight haha! At least you got one! Thank you for watching!
I nabbed me one of the mini sierra cups. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but it's adorable. 😂
Nice!! I love all sizes of the sierra, they’re awesome!
Ryan, beautiful set up. I’m curious to know your thought on the Ofuton sleeping bag? Have you had experience using it in humid conditions?
Thank you! I've been testing this bag since Spring paired with my Exped Mega Mat and Snow Peak Cots. With the cots, I always use a mattress or wool blanket underneath. For weather above 40 degrees F at night, I find it to be just right, also wearing one set of merino base layers and wool socks. The version I have is the wide lx (BD103). The (BD104) is for a little colder weather and is a washable down fill. Now I like that the Ofuton is not confining like a traditional sleeping bag. In the summer you have multiple ways to "vent" this bag either by unzipping the main zippers down or opening up the foot box. Now I'm not entirely sure what the blend is on the inner liner, but it's using TC Cotton, which is typically a blend cotton/synthetic. Having said that, I have noticed on particularly humid days the lining to feel initially slightly damp, which is probably the cotton fiber portion. Some of the cons with this bag for me is it's huge to pack and takes a bit of effort to roll up. I think I would prefer this bag in an all down version with a different inner liner, which I think they offered recently in a limited run. You should also check out the Outpost series from Rab Equipment. I'm hoping for more sleeping bag options from SP soon, but for now it's been a comfortable option for us throughout the summer.
Thanks Ryan. I’m after something roomy without a nylon interior. I’m also looking at a Cedar Ridge Silverthorne bag. Old school style. I’ve noticed that manufacturers of these types of bags tend to inflate the actual dimensions of their products. I bought a couple of Nordisk organic cotton sleeping bags ( imported from Europe) which sounded great on paper. They are nice bags however a 32” spec was 29” wide. When I read various reviews of other bags I see that this is not unusual.
I am a big Snowpeak fan as well and have a bunch of equipment from them. I switched brands a few years ago from Nemo to Snowpeak. I had too many warranty issues with Nemo. Yes, lighter weight but poor durability.
Lately, I’ve been intrigued by a couple of hot tents from the company Naturehike. They make a nice floor less teepee and also a couple of hot tents with screen rooms off of the front.
Thanks so much for your channel. I really enjoy your insightful reviews.
Also, I think you might be interested in a Japanese TH-camr who lists his videos under the name Morinone.
His cinematography is really top notch plus he’s great at setting a mood of stillness which I really enjoy. I mention this because I notice that some of your newer videos seem to be going in that direction as well.
Best wishes to you.
P.S. we live and do most of our camping in the state of Maine.
@@charlesschrope1750 Before I got into Snow Peak tents I noticed the same issues with a lot of manufacturers who primarily make backpacking style tents. I've been a fan of Morinone for years and his videos have been a huge inspiration for my channel! Thank you for your support, it means a lot to hear the reviews have been helpful!
Take care,
Ryan
Can someone please share the name of the table at 2:51?
Hey, it’s the IGT Slim from Snowpeak. Let me know if you have any questions on it. Thanks for watching!
