I’ve just been playing zero build for the past month and I have finally gotten the hang of mouse and keyboard. I have not played a single game of build. I am going to use only your advice and this map for my learning process. I will report back in a week to let you know how it goes. I’m going to record the entire process if anyone wants to see how far complete noob can get in just one week.

I’ve been a long time zero build player and really wanna try to get into builds and I thought I was crazy cause the default build setting are so wack I was like “it’s not possible” but I’m excited to jump on tomorrow and start tweaking settings and practicing. Also, the thing about starting in .5 and working up to 1.25, I play a lot of rhythm games and that’s how I get perfect scores. Just playing songs faster than normal until I have it good then getting perfect scores on normal speed
Your build tutorial map is amazing, thank you so much. If I could have one recommendation, could you also give us like, a scoped pistol or sniper or something with infinite ammo or something too? Just so we don't have to run all the way over to the "Reset Builds" button every time we want to reset. Thanks a ton!
As an absolute beginner I really enjoyed watching this video but I am left feeling just a little overwhelmed and am unsure on where to start. I think this comes from the assertion that I need to learn 10-20 moves, in this sense, I actually found the "how to fight" section a lot more simplified and applicable to my complete beginner build skill level. I play zero build and i got unreal in about 3 months of play, so I know I'm not a scrub so I say this in earnest because I've looked at a lot of tutorials and this was by far the best. I would love to see a video that walked me through the first 10-20 moves so that I can learn a few, jump into a battle royale, and play with them, and build upon those skills in a naturally sequential order. That being said, I will jump into the map and give it a go, thanks again for the awesome video and resources.

Every guide I could find - its either "Well you need to press buttons to build some structures they can hide you" or "thats the beginner friendly guide but you need to be at least Ninja prime level to begin and then use this simple tricks to become better"
choose a pro who's playstyle you like and occasionally pause and try to predict what they will do next. When u predict wrong, try to understand why they did hat they did. You will start learning what to do in different situations.
If this works ima be so happy bc i just switched to kbm and it took me so long to even figure out how to do 90s and i need to get better bc my friends are sweats and i also can't even hit a shot on kbm
I believe that piece controll is important but completly overrated! Everyone can do it today but no one trains his aim or learns peaks and movement or smart outplays
I quit builds in chapter 4. I have strabismus so my depth perception and hand eye coordination basically doesn’t exist. With OG, there’s NO COVER. With simple edit, I might be able to slightly keep up 😂
Ohh niceee man , I've started playing Fortnite maybe like 3 weeks ago and i got used to the controls but , i literally tell my friend when we are playing ranked that i dont want to fight because i dont know how to build fights, like i just start spamming every bind for building and then i somehow still end up on the ground and i start panicking even more , i will try this map out and see if i can do any better but i need some advice on the stuff i said . @@eternalbtw if you want to learn how to build yes but i’ve done that when i started which gave me pretty good mechanics but i totally forgot battle royale and when i was playing at it i was really nervous and scared, so don’t forget to play also battle royale :)

Thank you! Both the map and the video are great for absolute beginners like me, who couldn't imagine how others can build so fast. Unfortunately I'm stuck with drill 8 in the first room - Sideways Builds. I can see on the video that the character runs one way and build in the other. I cannot figure out how it's possible, for me it always builds in the way I'm looking even if I rotate the pieces. Is there any special trick to do it?
You may need to increase your diagonal movement in settings if you're on keyboard and mouse. Use custom diagonals: on forward diagonal angle: 55 strafe: 76 backward: 144 those are my settings

This is way better than your other practice map because it shows a lot more stuff than just a few moves

It’s normal to panik at the beginning because you focus on your builds and not on the enemy :)

Whats your opinion on having place builds bind on right mouse button.
It feels comfortable but i have a habit where i hold it and dont let go.
I still select tiles with left mb though
