I've heard ygl2ee and it's a great song, I just wish there were more like it (lyrically). I recommend that you release an album or something because you actually have the potential to "change the rap game" (not even close to sarcastic here). That true for english but might be wrong for my language. We have 6 " tone mark " that can change the meaning of the word. I share this method in this article that I think you will really find helpful colemizestudios.com/how-to-write-a-rap-song/ as far as cadence, I typically just scat over the track and typically memorize my cadences since they are usually pre learned cadences anyways. +Zur Music good question! It's important to note that I'm not rapping to a 16 count, I'm simply using different combinations of notes. I primarily use 16th notes in this lesson but when I'm saying stressed syllables I'm actually giving those syllables the space of two 16th notes which is technically an 8th note which are the notes used in the 8 count. If you haven't already make sure you check out my video on creating cadence buff.ly/1ooq7Bl as I go into this in much more detail. There's no set in stone way you have to rap. 16th notes are just very commonly used on rap music since they are not to fast or slow. Always remember in rapping there are no rules only techniques. I used to stutter(warning: very low level of stutter), what helped me to overcome stuttering was to pace myself(talk/rap slowly and gradually as I got stuttering to minimum/zero then up the tempo slowly. rinse and repeat) and 100% memorize what I wanted to rap.

do u write a skeIeton down on paper when u write a verse? Or do u just keep a mental one in your head after u create a cadence. I would love to see how to properly write a skeleton on paper to make breaking down flows easier.

as far as cadence, I typically just scat over the track and typically memorize my cadences since they are usually pre learned cadences anyways.

quick question.... so if you DO NOT rap in this "16 count" that you're speaking off is it still considered to be a rap? and if so would you mind doing a video that shows how to or examples of legit rap songs that are in an "8 count" OR is the "16 count" the set in stone standard?
+Zur Music good question! It's important to note that I'm not rapping to a 16 count, I'm simply using different combinations of notes. I primarily use 16th notes in this lesson but when I'm saying stressed syllables I'm actually giving those syllables the space of two 16th notes which is technically an 8th note which are the notes used in the 8 count.
If you haven't already make sure you check out my video on creating cadence buff.ly/1ooq7Bl as I go into this in much more detail. There's no set in stone way you have to rap. 16th notes are just very commonly used on rap music since they are not to fast or slow. Always remember in rapping there are no rules only techniques. +Zur Music lol naa you're good you're making perfect sense :) No there's nothing wrong with using the speed of an 8 count but it will be crucial to pick out the right beat to compliment that type of flow. I did a video about this here buff.ly/1Qpl221

I used to stutter(warning: very low level of stutter), what helped me
to overcome stuttering was to pace myself(talk/rap slowly and gradually as I got stuttering to minimum/zero then up the tempo slowly. rinse and repeat) and 100% memorize what I wanted to rap.
