Listening to this just brings me back to how I used to sneak into the computer room late at night to talk to her. We lost contact after she told me she will migrate to Brazil. Fun fact: When I was a kid I thought the name Avenged Sevenfold meant the band had seven singers. So I had essentially envisioned this band as like a metal seven dwarves, and I was always trying to figure out which one was singing whenever I was listening to one of their songs. I remember when this song first came out and the music video was on tv. I was super pumped to finally see a video of them, but the shock and disappointment I felt when I realized there was only one singer and zero metal dwarves has haunted me ever since. I took my son to see Metallica in June and A7X opened for them, they were great. I’ve always been a fan though, they are one of those bands that speaks to my soul...so far away is especially meaningful for me. I wish more people would let go of the comparisons and enjoy a band for who they are and what they stand for. If you don’t like it, move on to something that does speak to you. Not trying to sound mean, I don’t like everything so I move on and find what I do.

A girl showed me this from high school when it was first released. She made me a CD with a few of the newest songs. I had to send her a message on MSN to ask for the name of the song. What an era for music it was. I miss my youth and my old friends.
The fact that to this day I can still remember all the lyrics sing to the song in tuned with all lyrics and not mess up once. That shows you just how amazing this song is. It really is a crying shame that Warner brothers music decided to cut out the best parts of this which brings the song to a whole another level and that being the orchestral part.

I mostly listen to slipknot but I’ve come back to listen to A7X everyday when I was younger my parents turned on nightmare which was my favorite song. I do not like how 'clean' their production is, but I cannot really complain because these guys are just so tight and play so damn so well. The guitar work is super impressive.
One of those bands that I'll never get tired of listening to. Afterlife is a more underrated banger by Avenged Sevenfold that I think deserves more attention than it got as the singer's vocals go hard it especially when combined with the instruments creates a masterpiece sure to leave a lasting impression on you. The visuals in this music video look stunning especially the white background that shows the dedication Avenged Sevenfold put into make quality music videos for the public to enjoy. All in all I would say "Afterlife" is definitely an amazing gem worth checking out and one of the greatest songs Avenged Sevenfold have produced.
This is just a world class great band. I grew up in the 1980s, I have never understood the flack A7X sometimes gets, but as an old school metal guy these guys can play my gig any time.

The fact that to this day I can still remember all the lyrics sing to the song in tuned with all lyrics and not mess up once. That shows you just how amazing this song is. It really is a crying shame that Warner brothers music decided to cut out the best parts of this which brings the song to a whole another level and that being the orchestral part.

I was a baby when I started listening to avenged sevenfold and slipknot. I mostly listen to slipknot but I’ve come back to listen to A7X everyday when I was younger my parents turned on nightmare which was my favorite song. I’m now 15 and have known this band and listened to them for 15 years with slipknot as well. I hope whoever reads this has an amazing night or day wherever you are

Afterlife is a more underrated banger by Avenged Sevenfold that I think deserves more attention than it got as the singer's vocals go hard it especially when combined with the instruments creates a masterpiece sure to leave a lasting impression on you.
The visuals in this music video look stunning especially the white background that shows the dedication Avenged Sevenfold put into make quality music videos for the public to enjoy.
All in all I would say "Afterlife" is definitely an amazing gem worth checking out and one of the greatest songs Avenged Sevenfold have produced.
This is just a world class great band. I grew up in the 1980s, I have never understood the flack A7X sometimes gets, but as an old school metal guy these guys can play my gig any time.
