This video is just gorgeous. Music is such a universal language, spoken by all, and not just one group of people. This just puts a sense of joy into my heart, it's unbelievable. It brings a smile to my face to hear people from all over the world join in, and dedicate this song to the great tragedy that Japan had to go through. Beautiful work. A piece of art, for sure.
It has been 7 years today. I pray for everything that has been lost and also for hope Tohoku people embrace. 11/3/2018
I say thank you as one Japanese college student playing trombone in wind orchestra! Really really thank you. Trombone is wonderful, music is wonderful.
It was a sixth grader when I heard this tune for the first time. Thank you for making the song for Japan. Six years ago, I heard it again, but I decided to work hard.
This really inspires me to get back into playing the trombone. What an expression of the larger community and her thoughtfulness towards the country of Japan.
I’m a full-time professional musician and university professor, and witnessing this SELFLESS giving and beautiful artistry led my Japanese wife to wipe the tears from my eyes by the end of the video. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
@yoot toot ya snoot boot, practice high notes - there's two in Cockaigne Overture by Edward Elgar, and a C# in Morceau Symphonique by Alexandre Guilmant, even high Gs in some pieces.
2:36 Everything about this moment in the music is perfect. The slight space they put between those two notes, the chord there, and the beautiful ring of the hall are absolutely amazing!
It's good to see that these people have hearts for the ones who died. I think it sets a good example for the one who make jokes and memes about the loss of life August 6th, 1945, when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed, the Japanese Tsunami, 2011, and all of the events before and after. It's nice to see they care.
Beautiful. I love that not only are there trombone players from all over the world playing for this, but trombonists of completely different playing styles came together to create this tribute to Japan.
Thank you for this movie. I can't stop my tears are falling down still after the play now. This is the great project all over the world, and we Japanese thank you again for all trombonists in this movie and all musicians who pray for Japan. I play trumpet, and I'm teaching children of brass band in a primary school,so I'll make a chance to see this wonderful movie with the children. And consider with them what we can do now, again. Thank you very much, and the God bless you!
Man, Ian Bousfield's sound is just massive! Thank you for making it possible for all of us to hear these amazing players, and for giving us all a chance to help show our support for Japan.
I never knew this existed till tonight. It is filled with really beautiful and moving sound, and for me commemorates lives of those we've known and loved and of those we haven't. It comforts my soul.
Holy crap, this is freaking beautiful. Alessi and Rijen......perfection. sheesh everyone plays so precise and such good tone and sound, and its just like all my role models. and this is such a good cause. :) so inspiring. :)
....and people say that the trombone is such an "un-cool" instrument....! On the contrary - it is downright SEXY! What beautiful harmonies and moving melodic line! I too am proud to have been a trombonist for the past 45 years....
Makes me proud to be a musician who plays trombone. Absolutely lovely.

Even though all performances were incredible, I believe that 5:00 was the one to top it all.
At 3:40 the sound is just beautiful...
Only thing better is the chord at 7:00
Ian…aressi
This flow best.
Goose bumps stood!
Shulz and Sorensen is too amazing
This really inspires me to get back into playing the trombone. What an expression of the larger community and her thoughtfulness towards the country of Japan.
My orchestra's trombone section played the quartet version of this at our chamber concert. The most fun I've had performing a tune in that orchestra.
Something I want to do sometime

I’m a full-time professional musician and university professor, and witnessing this SELFLESS giving and beautiful artistry led my Japanese wife to wipe the tears from my eyes by the end of the video. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

@yoot toot ya snoot boot, practice high notes - there's two in Cockaigne Overture by Edward Elgar, and a C# in Morceau Symphonique by Alexandre Guilmant, even high Gs in some pieces.

The duet at 2:20 is absolutely enthralling.
No matter how many times I listen and watch this, it's still just as moving!
2:36 Everything about this moment in the music is perfect. The slight space they put between those two notes, the chord there, and the beautiful ring of the hall are absolutely amazing!

A friend heard that it's being played and was moved by a cultural festival. It's much by gratitude for professional players of all over the world.
Beautiful. I love that not only are there trombone players from all over the world playing for this, but trombonists of completely different playing styles came together to create this tribute to Japan.

I'm japanese. I love this music. So I want to say ARIGATO !‼
4:58 is why Jorgen is my favorite player.
That could be the single-most incredible moment of a trombone quartet ever recorded.
I'm in 9th grade and I'm playing this with a 10th grader for an ensemble but when I found this song I knew it was perfect

the way jiggs' face gets more and more red as he plays is hilarious
The International Ensemble is my favourite - they have such a rich harmony!

the Japanese people.
I almost burst into tears of joy from hearing the last few chords and the picture of that baby at 7:04.
I was in 6th grade when this happened. One of the most beautiful songs I’ve had the pleasure of playing
