Glue can take your hair out if you rip the tracks out. But if you carefully remove it with conditioner or bond remover I've never had problems with this style. This method works better for me because I work out. You can wash, blolwdry, and straighten you hair weekly with this style. Mine last 4-6 weeks depending on how hot it is outside.
I let me my weaves start falling out before I remove them. LOL. Add some of that shampoo type bond remover, cover my head with a processing cap, let it soak in and then remove it easily. THe key though is to let the weave start falling out on its own first. Lol
@@avibecalledblessed7503 I use that 30 sec bonding glue and I then I blow dry each track after it is laid. Then I spray fantasia spirits right on the track...not the hair. I work out daily and after working out I blow dry my roots for about 5 minutes and my hair stays for weeks. Blow drying helps the tracks stay set. Hope this helps. Oh and I use fantasia spiritz or pump it up.
I started using this technique back on the late nineties, I grew my hair with this method along with protein treatments, it looked more natural, without bulges and I hate lace front wigs, or sew ins, and I like the fact it light so I never feel like I have a heavy hot ass wig, or bulky braids sewed into my weave.
I’m apart of the natural hair community and I hate the fact that it’s so judgmental I do old school weaves as well or blow my hair out and whenever I do me and my BFF always bumps heads because of it having natural hair is a lot of work and sometimes my scalp needs a break
I was born in the late 80s so I’m all for this. Like you said if you do it right.. ain’t no breakage. And 1 bundle of your natural length makes the weave undetectable. You did GREAT.
Yes ma’am yes ma’am yessssss ma’am! It’s about time someone other than me is still doing old school hair styling. This has to be one of my favorite quick styles. The best part is when you take it down correctly, you can also reuse them and repeat the same style. No one would ever know!!!! Again thank you and you look amazing🥰🥰
I really enjoyed this one. I am about to do me a quick one two with the glue, and I just wanted to see if anybody else still about that life… I enjoyed this one.. thanks taelor this was fire! 💕🥰🥰
I have so much respect for the time and patience put into textured hair. I’m white and did glue in extensions in middle school and loved it. I’m always disappointed in any other extension application. Glue in is easy to apply and remove at home so I really don’t get why people hate it so much? I never experienced any damage or had a bad experience
You made that look so easy. I have always been a fan of glue-ins over other hair styles. It actually made my hair grow, like you I used conditioner to remove the tracks. I haven't had a glue in for years, but watching your video has inspired me to glue some tracks in.
I Love this tutorial. I actually grow up in 90s doing this style! This type of quick weave helps my scalp breathe so much. My scalp is freeee! I can touch, scratch and massage my scalp with the old school weave. You did and excellent job! Beautiful and very natural looking!!👏❤❤❤❤❤
Glue ins have changed my life. So easy, versatile and it gives my own hair a break. Not to mention it saves me time daily. Takes less than 5 mins to style once it's installed
Thank you so much! I'm a white dude that had a horrible hair accident with a stylist. I used to have hair almost down to my butt, then it was chopped off by a horrible stylist while I was getting a trim. She cut it ALL off 2 years ago and I'm still regrowing. I've tried tape ins, clip ins, and wigs, they didn't work out. I can't afford those bead things and I can't go to a professional. I've seen regular methods where they braid the hair close to the skin but I have no idea how to do that. I will be trying this out, thank you so much!
Great job. I’m old school and the few times I did this method I didn’t have any issues with the glue damaging my hair. I used to love this because first I can’t really cornrow and when I used a cap before it gave me major headaches cause I suffer from migraines. So this was always easy for me and flat like yours couldn’t tell it wasn’t all mine 😊
This is definitely my favorite method, I usually buy the extra large caps to avoid the headache and only use 1 with the liquid mold if I’m doing it that way.
This is how I use to get mines put in and my hair never broke off and it looked so natural. I’m glad I ran across your video because I’m sholl about to get my hair together lol! Your hair looks amazing 🤩
I love the old school quick weave. I want to know why you cut the weft and then applied it to the part instead of taking the weft all the way to the section of your edges that you didn't want glue on? I never thought to cut it, then apply another small weft. I take one weft all the way. I usually only have to apply 5 or 6 wefts but I like your technique.❤
This actually was the method that blended best and did not take my hair out. I would still do it if the hair had not become so expensive now. I like to discard the hair after removal
It definitely works the best for me and the removal is super easy. I’ve noticed the price increase as well but now I’m just trying out different brands until I find a new one I like😌
Ppl take your hair out not the glue or sewing bad stylist whether it be an amateur or professional...I love me an old school glue in and your right it looks natural...
I condition after washing but it’s never affected the retention of any style I get. I will say workouts are minimal with this style though and that helps.

Do you not condition your hair after washing? How did it stay in for weeks?
I condition after washing but it’s never affected the retention of any style I get. I will say workouts are minimal with this style though and that helps.
Come & do my hair... I'm loving what u did
Thank you!
Does the glue go on the scalp or on the root of the hair?
I always do the scalp because it’s easier to remove. Hope this helps!
My hair is super thin and short . gonna try but it's hard when you don't have to much hair.
Just try to get extensions that closely match your natural texture
Split the track in half with a eyebrow shaper. If your hair is black, use a little black hair spray to camouflage the areas that look see through
Can you put your hair up? I want to do this, but my job requires my hair to go up, and i put it all the way up on top of my head.
You can, it all just depends on how you lay the wefts.
Can I ask what hair bundle you used and if there is a link to it please
Heyyy! It’s the yaki straight from Better Length! One bundle😌
Can you put it in so you can part in the middle or the sides
Of course! I’ve done it plenty of different ways over the years. It all depends on the direction you lay the wefts.
Do you have the link to the hair you used??
Just like any other extension hair style you have to be careful how you remove it. Removing any extension style can damage your hair.
love it.
Thank you so much for the feedback❤️
I have a questionnnnnnn, can I wash my glue in weave or will it fall out ? I want it to last a couple of weeks but my hair gets greasy fast
Great video thank you. How long did this install last?
I can usually wear this for 2-3 weeks with no problems. If you workout daily maybe a week at the most.
Since you glue it right to your scalp does is move up toward a pony tail style ok? You can flip it and it doesn't hurt?
Yes! It’s very versatile but be mindful of placement around the hairline and parting if you want to do different styles💕
How many tracks did you use from back to mid way
I want to say half a bundle so maybe 5/6 cut pieces.
How do you a ponytail with the glued in hair?
I’m actually filming that next week! But same process, it’s all about track placement.
Can u do it with like blk and a little bit of blue?
Of course! Its all about getting the texture and dominant color to match. Ive done blonde and brown like this before as well.
Sooo pretty
I know I’m commenting late but how do you get the glue off your hair?
You killed this! I’m going to try on 2 weeks!

In this video I would say neck length at longest, currently it’s at my shoulders. I’m in the process of cutting out the layers 😌
