I have to basically go a “tiny good bit” left for it to go in properly. Does that mean I just need a new bracket for my tranny? I’ve been trying to think of what it would be but your situation with 5th sounds super similar to me

if your shifter is all the way against the plate while it's In 5th gear then its good.. If you still have 5th issues then its most likely the trans
