I this week found an purchased my favorite of all receivers (after trying to buy one for more than 19 years). It's a great feeling indeed Anyways that STR-6060F is build outstanding indeed. Everything shielded etc.
Dumb question but where is the power amplifier board? I'm trying to set the bias and not sure which one it is. EDIT: I figured out where it is but no idea how you're supposed to get the probes on there. Really tight.
@@millervintagehifi3034 I was able to read the bias but adjusting the pot does nothing. I'm guessing it's bad or needs cleaning. Fortunately the bias was set low and not high.
@@verdict1163 If bias isn't adjusting, I'd suspect another component (bias transistor) as being bad. In my (limited) experience, bad trim pots usually result in bias readings that increase/decrease erratically. YMMV

I’m still using the 6060F as the receiver in my living room. It has replaced a McIntosh 1900 :)
What new camera did you get?
Sony Z-EV10.

They aren't the most service-friendly unit for sure.

@@millervintagehifi3034 That makes sense. Thanks for the insight.
