Thanks a lot for your generosity taking time to answer. It's unfortunate I woke up a little too late for your event but your answer reassures me a lot. I already knew from my mechanic that the struts in the front are a worn and now you confirm that this might be the cause of vibration which I'm not sure before. Thanks a lot Scott and hope you're doing another google event again and hope I'll be there!
Did a whole bunch of work and these videos saved me about 1200$ thanks scotty!
Thx Scotty. I will be watching you for the foreseeable future.
Informative video on how to replace an idler arm.
Cool! Thanks Scotty :) I have to do this to my jeep so I appreciate the demonstration.

Straight and to the point... Good video..

thx for the guidance
love your work.nice job scott
Man Scotty, your sure helped me out on this one.thank you sir.
good idea to have the same piece. Love this guy.
I love your videos Man, please never stop makin em haha
yes, alignment can cause that, but since it did it after rotation I would assume one of those tires or rims are out of round causing it.
You should have your own TV show, love your knowledge and personality.
Soctty i enjoy all your videos, Thank you very much.
Thank you!!! Keep up the good work!!
Scotty K. is a beast, just the best.
Thanks again scotty
love your videos... your hilarious and u taught me a lot in the last few years....
that old thing, normally just a worn out carb. Last one i did i just put a new edelbrock carb on, they bolt right on and work great.

you have the best videos
I try holding it from spinning using needle nose locking vice grip pliers
good stuff Scotty
I lifted car first just one tire off the ground then both and there's no play in the wheel when I pull on them , I also got under the dash and removed the black cover over the steering shaft and I put a vice grip pliers on the input shaft to the rack and moved the steering wheel to check if it was u joints in the steering shaft and they have no play either, im stumped, but i cant tell you just how much i appreciate your time, you are the best!
you the man Scotty!
Thak always very helpfully your tips and clear
certainly try a stabilizer, often helps on older vehicles. Also most front end shops give free estimates and know how to load test suspension systems with a LOT more than just wiggling tires.
generally only when you hit the brakes at higher speeds will that cause shaking
certainly can, and lowering em makes setting the alignment correctly a much harder job too.
it did in Lake Tahoe last winter
I love those corollas!
This guy is hilarious and helpful at the same time lol
Thank you. And if there is play is it mostly the bushings?
Pickle forks have saved me more trouble on ball joints, tie rod ends, and linkages than any other tool.
I keep seeing mechanics doing these with air hammers, chisels, and prybars, but the pickle-fork is my weapon of choice :)
By using this method does it destroy the rubber components? And then do they need to be replaced?
@@lyleyazzie4649 Using a Pickle Fork will destroy the Rubber Boot. If you want to preserve the Rubber Boot- you need the special Tie Rod Separator Tool.
Great Scotty! thank you. You are great help!
Thanks Scotty.

Scotty i just subscribed to tour channel. I've always taken my car to a mechanic since I'm afraid to touch it. Hopefully with this little knowledge I can start fixing my car. Thanks.
Lake Tahoe, winter a couple years ago, really beautiful place, if you've never been there, go in January and bring snow shoes.
THANKS SCOTTY KILMER!
Your still the best scot!
You're my hero!
You make it look easy. Thanks, Scotty. Snow in Houston, TX?
old age and not having all the lug nuts on strained the old ones and they snapped. They put more on for a good reason
This guy listens to Rush I'm sure of it. Great video Scotty thank you!
you da man Scotty !
You're great and enthusiastic Scott! I have a question regarding the issues. My steering wheel doesn't wobble but barely vibrate on and off around 69 mph on cruise control. There's a very small shimmy and sometimes it's not there at all and the steering seems to be perfectly fine. Is it possible that road condition can be the cause? I already did balancing tires and changing an outer tie-rod on the right.
clutches that hit really low are worn out, as are ones that slip or grind when going into gear from a stop.
any worn parts can do that, from tie rods to ball joints to a frame bushings. check em all for wear by jacking it up and pulling on the tires.
many things can do that, start by jacking up the front end and pulling on the tires and checking for play which would show worn parts like tie rods or ball joints.
Hey Scotty, love your videos, very helpful. I have a '94 Toyota 4Runner and just had the front right wheel worked on because it was loose, I think they replaced the tire rods or something. Anyway, now the car dies almost every time I make a sharp turn while at low RPMs. It is super frustrating for parking ect. They also adjusted the idle for me because the last mechanics left it too high when in park. Now it's fine in park, but dies sometimes when I'm slowing down for a red light. Any ideas?
worn axles often do that since it stops when letting off the gas. so do bad wheel bearings, so check em both
You funny man I like watching your videos
thanks!
thanks a lot...
Yes, use the search on the scottykilmer channel and type "oxygen sensor" in there.
i love your videos but your intros are insanely loud, i wanted to say thank you for all the knowledge your offering to people i know how priceless its been to me over the years
you could have multiple problems. First, check the motor mounts, cause they will cause cv joint separation when bad. But they don't make it wander, that's more control arms or other worn suspension parts
it could be, jack it up and check both tires for wear, and tie rods which go bad on those a lot
I wish you got paid more for this Scotty. Someone should really start a donation account on your behave. Your videos are quick. They are packed with information. And they solve real world problems. You've helped a lot of people out there. Great job.
Also... you're really good at answering e-mail questions. I've sent you one before. xD cars.
++ Scotty Kilmer
yes
if it's 4 wheel drive, it's often the differential on those. See my video "finding the source of car noises" and do that testing to find the actual area the noise comes from
