I remember partying with these guys a few times in Pensacola over a decade ago back when they were just kids touring the south in a white van. All of them had short hair (Dave looked a bit like Harry Potter) and virtually no tattoos. It's cool to see how far they have come.
This song live was fucking awesome. The stage was full of smoke and couldn't see shit and it was pretty much dead silent. Then this song started playing and I got chills. One of my fav songs by you guys.
My personal Faves are THIS track, and Machine. Although they are quite proficient instrumentally, nothing else COMMANDS my attention, impresses & resonates with me as well as those 2 tracks. A couple years ago, whe. I first discovered Machine, it was the BEST song I had heard that entire year- hands down ... and is still up there in my All-time FAVORITES. There are certainly a few scattered good tracks, throughout their discography; but I am, admittedly, not one to buy into EVERYTHING a band churns out, as if by rote. e.g. when I first heard Endzeit from Heaven Shall Burn, numerous years ago, it became one of the all-time top songs, and still is. I DON'T Enjoy ANY other song by HSB, in entirety. They are a total one-trick pony, to me. BOO are much better musicians than HSB; that is quite evident. However, at this time, BOO are only barely better at composing entire songs.
That's pretty much every fanbase of everything ever. In my opinion, any writer, singer, artist, or whatever, should do art based upon their own vision instead of what the fans want (or think they do). I want to be a writer, and it would feel like I was twisting the original purpose of my story if I pumped out more of the same just because that's what people want.
The common opinion of someone that's listened to BOO since their inception, then one commonly from newer (first time) listeners... clever. I see what you did there.
+Brian Koch Actually Rareform they where @ their musical best. I am a musician love prog Metal & it's sub genres. New Rein was great cause it was there first. I think many bands first albums are hard to top. Still my favorite is TWDA.

Man, Buster did such a good job at mixing this. I'm not a fan of these type of mixes generally, but it works so well for BOO. Combined the best aspects of the mixes from The Discovery (clarity in everything) and TWDA (Fullness)

I really can't believe people hating on the last 2 records. They are still like the first three albums. This song alone has a higher place feel to it on the guitar. this record actually is like taking the last 3 and mixing which isn't bad IMO.
