The thing I have always appreciated Marc for is his ability to bring out the neuroticism that most people have in their heads out into the world in a sincere and honest way.

The battle between Marc's genuine humility and his real neurotic demons (paranoia, addiction, impatience, etc) is what makes his show continually engaging and relatable. Plus, that his show is very artfully edited and produced by his creative partner Brendan McDonald sets it apart from 99% of similar personality-hosted podcasts.

The more I learn about Marc's journey the more I understand why I relate to his brand of humor so well. I've been listening to his podcasts for years, longer than I knew him as a comic. I'm so happy that he is really experiencing the recognition that he deserves. Seemingly at just the right time. Congrats Marc!

Such a brilliant comic and actor… He’s really put in work on himself & shares what he’s learned with others… He’s not for everyone, but he’s unapologetically who he is! ⭐️

Marc has this unique ability to role model the experience and life of many men.
The inability to fully show emotions yet at times he breaks through and blossoms despite a conditioned life to hold back.
I barely know him and in many life choices we are very different yet I feel a deep connection to him and believe if we were neighbors we’d hang out in the garage at the workbench on a regular basis and occasionally talk but at the same time enjoy every moment.

Can Marc Maron take the Andy Rooney role for 60 Minutes? Just asking for a friend.

He is so decent. He just tries and tries and practices emotional honesty and that’s enough.

He’s not for everybody, but, that’s his appeal to the people he is for. I dislike the term “outsider” and I’m not a fan of “niche”, he’s specific. His comic identity appeals to people who, at some point, decided to ride the roller coaster.
