those questions tend to be on non-calculator papers. i don’t know about other exam boards but mine has 3 papers and paper 1 is non-calculator which would include these types of questions
broo no paper that allows a calculator will ask this question! unless they want to give you free marks ofcourse 😁 the question is not testing your calculation skills its testing your knowledge on standard form 😭😭

That's not the whole paper, there's some questions which are reallyyyy easy so that you collect marks, plus this is considered the o level (aka the basics) advanced maths is something else, completely. And yk the British system is adopted and accepted by everyone so there maths has a standard that everyone agrees upon yk?

idk,i really hate this video (im an IGCSE student) and this is not worthy though you are allowed to use a calculator because your calculator doesnt show the steps so crazy! and she is going to be very bad at critical thinking

That’s a scientific calculator and it’s allowed. We literally get them on the exam desks in plastic bags prepared for us, so we don’t even have to own one. The thing is that most people don’t know how to use them.
