    After putting $1000 into my 2013 Toyota RAV4 in December 2022 the engine and AWD lights came on, that was a monkey on my back that I didn’t need, thinking I had to take it into the shop to get it fixed knowing at the minimum I would have to pay at least $300+ , so I went on TH-cam to research it a bit and after watching about 10 videos on the subject it was looking very bleak for me so I went to bed worrying about how much my mechanics estimate was going to be when I took it in the next day but I wasn’t able to sleep so I went on TH-cam again and searched more videos about the problem and I found your video, after watching it knowing it couldn’t be that simple I went back to bed, the next morning I went out to my car to do some shopping and before I started it up I checked the gas cap to see if it was ok and sure enough it was fine but this time when I put it back on I made sure it was tight and secure got in my car and drove it to the store thinking I’ll disconnect the battery when I get back home but after shopping when I started my car up to come back home the lights never came back on and to my surprise hasn’t come back on since I tightened my gas cap, apparently the last time I filled the tank I was in a hurry and put the gas cap on without giving it a good cranking before leaving the gas station, thanks for your help and keep up the good job I will make sure that I spread the word about your videos on TH-cam to anybody who’ll listen, no telling how much money I would have lost taking it to the mechanics, thanks again, John Hutton

    If I allow my vehicle (2019 highlander) to idle for a while the lights will come out and the vehicle at times will creat a vibration. I brought mine to the dealer and was told it's the coil number 4 changes it and the lights still come on. I was told by a friend I should probably change all 6 coils and spark plugs$$$. I haven't tried this but I am definitely considering it. I have also changed my battery and purchased a new one due to a different issue with the vehicle just cutting off. The battery being new fix that issue but the light still continues to come on with awd indicator as well as check engine. Maybe I will changing the gas cap as well before doing my extensive work like the spark plugs and coils.

    • @fomoco1986
      @fomoco1986  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would start with the gas cap as it’s the cheapest and easiest to replace. You may consider taking it to Autozone to have them run the codes, their printout will tell you for certain if it’s coils.
