  • A short clip from the movie Waking Life. Since nobody uploadet it yet i thought i could do it.
    What he says:
    A thousand years is but an instant. There's nothing new, nothing different; same pattern over and over. The same clouds, same music, the same things I felt an hour or an eternity ago. There's nothing here for me now, nothing at all. Now I remember, this happened to me before. This is why I left. You have begun to find your answers. Although it will seem difficult the rewards will be great. Exercise your human mind as fully as possible knowing that it is only an exercise. Build beautiful artifacts, solve problems, explore the secrets of the physical universe, savor the input from all the senses, filled with joy and sorrow and laughter, empathy, compassion, and tote the emotional memory in your travel bag. I remember where I came from, and how I became human, why I hung around, and now my final departure's scheduled. This way out, escaping velocity. Not just eternity, but Infinity.

    If you are looking at this video, you have probably already watched the movie. If you didn't, DO IT! And keep looking, keep looking my friend, for there is a path open for the ones who look for it. The ones who are searching will be found, as the same force that is pushing you forward is bending reality to meet you. Accept sorrow and grief as a part of the journey, look for the hidden meaning behind every moment you live, search for the others who already took your path and learn from them. Be ready to push on the other hesitating visionaries when you find them, walk along them and then depart again. It is all waiting for you.

    Great scene. What do we know about this person?

    • @PorGaymer
      @PorGaymer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He goes by Ryan Power hes a friend of richard linklater and autistic. You can find a nother short with called "Snack and Drink". Linklater wrote the scene and monologe as pov of an alien having to leave earth. You can hear about it on the DVDs commentary.

    I knew this movie was bad, but after watching how poorly done this whole scene was, and how insipidly boring the words are, I now realize the whole movie is worthless

    • @PorGaymer
      @PorGaymer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Wait so did you watch this scene and thought "this movie is bad" and then watch it and concluded it was worthless.
      or
      Did you watch the movie already thinking it was and came here to look up this scene just to reassure yourself the worthlessness of this movie.
      and what would you say is it that makes a good movie?

      @PorGaymer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rain what books are you reffering to? As far as i know (in the directors commentary) richard linklator wrote this monologue in the prespective of an alien that has been stuck on earth for a long time.
      edit: oh wait never mind you wrote that 2 years ago already lol
