I have a "world lawn" zero turn mower...I would put that up against that tractor any day....I cut grass on hills steeper than that.....PS, my kubota zero turn also mows the same hill.....
@@LC-py3yf Grab your video camera and record it. I'd love to see a head to head and you beating the pants off the Ventrac! What slope is your machine rated for?
If you are whatching this on a phone you can tilt the phone until you see the tractor straight and you will see the angle of the hill. It's really helps putting it into perspective
Thats Insane! My back hill is 26 degrees and have to push mow it. The Ventrac would make that a piece of cake! I thought my hill was to steep for it until I found thats its 26. Completely Outstanding!
Wow! I just realized that if your scared of roller coasters, maybe stay off of the steeper banks. I could see that scenario being scary 😟. I love roller coasters, and I love pushing my Ventrac to its limits as well
I had seen so many ventrac videos, that when we actually got a ventrac at our golf course, I was immediately comfortable with it and going up and down slopes with no issues within the first 5 minutes of getting the machine 😂 I love the ventrac! It’s such an awesome machine. Has a few quirks that could be major or minor depending on your needs.
Great job as usual. The competency of the Ventrac speaks for itself. But Aaron you just teased us with (without seeing) a new prototype piece of equipment I could not get out of my mind off of during the video! LOL!
Looks like the start of a VENTRAC Academy series of training videos. I would enjoy refresher training before revisiting a difficult task that was last tried over a year ago.
I work for a company that sells these.I saw it for the first time in our shop. This thing looks so cool.My boss said he could get me on some of the equipment we sell.I want to drive this.
Great video Aaron! It’s so true, my prior zero turn wouldn’t come close to what the VenTrac does. I’ve got one 35 degree slope that I’m certain the VenTrac would conquer, but the pucker factor is too great and the slope indicator keeps barking at me.
I'm curious if side hill mowing would be a no go with this same rig. Never doubted the up/down hill capability. Great machine. Nice add to the team with the new recruits.
It's rated for 30 degrees in any direction. It's also stable and works well mowing sideways but traction is always more difficult going sideways so if the conditions are too wet then you can experience some loss of traction. In that case, the tractor will "crab" but you can continue working as long as you're okay with the impact on the turf.
Take something good and make it great. Always room for improvement. Take this 4500 and put it on tracks. Many of other trackers manufacturers are putting tracks inplace of tires. No flats and doesn’t get stuck. I would also like to see a much more powerful Diesel engine options. All my equipment is diesel. I’m in the market for a tractor and like some of the stuff yall are doing but I the options I just started.
We use a big spring assembly located inside the main frame of the tractor and it helps to support some of the weight of the attachment. Because of the geometry of this system, it concentrates the extra force onto the front axle area of the machine and off the attachment, providing better traction, among other things. th-cam.com/video/q_iolxuDtGM/w-d-xo.html
The mower decks aren't too bad unless you suffer from allergies and there's a lot of pollen around. A respirator is a good idea on some of the dustier jobs like power raking or ballpark groomer when the conditions are very dry.
Thanks for the compliment! We are always actively adding distribution so if there's not somebody near you right now, check back in the future to see as well. For an up-to-date list of international locations, check out this link: www.ventrac.com/distributors
Good video, but what about "altoz" zero turns on tracks? They claim extremely steep terrain climbing as well. Still would prefer the ventrac overall. But the question persists.
Weight bias is still a problem with those when going straight up but they are considerably better than wheeled zero turns overall. The tracks also tear turf up pretty significantly unless you slow to a crawl for every turn (like really, really slow).
We don't really have any official programs for that at the moment but we've been contemplating how we might do something like this. We'll be sure to update the channel if/when we officially offer this.
@@ventrac understood. I am in the buying process right now, and the thought of spending nearly 60K on tractor/attachments and nary a clue how to run them safely and efficiently, is daunting.

It actually is available as an option .... although we don't recommend it very often. The hand control is just so much better. The foot pedal comes in handy when you're using a loader or a rear attachment that you want to control with hydraulics.
Son I hate to tell you this but I've sold zero turns for 20 years now I have a world lawn viper it'll go up and down that Hill three times faster than that tractor years and it won't even slip good luck to you
Did you really just bleep out a name of a tractor the guy said he used? Does the word petty mean anything?

The drive system of the 4500 is the best in the business. So much faster than a conventional tractor. One of the best built tractors in the world.

It would be interesting to see a zero turn approach the hill, and demonstration purposes show how incredibly unstable that would actually be.
Another reason for no foot pedal is that on the 30° slope you will be using your legs to lock yourself in place
Memories of my first time on our hills. OK Aaron, don't tease us. Show us the prototype. I HATE suspense!

Have you considered making a mini Ventrac rear seat articulating 4x4 tractor?
Love the videos- can you turn down the music so we can hear the instructions better on future videos?
So would it be safe to go up that 30 deg hill with no front attachment and a fully loaded power bucket mounted on the rear of the tractor?
No...in fact, it's best to always have an attachment on the front of the tractor for weight balance.
How does the weight transfer work?
We use a big spring assembly located inside the main frame of the tractor and it helps to support some of the weight of the attachment.
