I use the FDARN repeater a lot in Lakeland. Mostly on L9 to my local friends but also L2. It’s a great network! W4JFS

I visited your site looks like its mostly FL West. I'm in central Brevard. I loaded repeater freq / color / etc for every nearby repeater I could find, Sebastian,Cocoa,KSC, titusville and more. After a month of "radio check" with my 10w TYT DMR handheld, I have yet to get a response.
On scan mode of all these repeaters, and many other more distant repeater freqs within 60 miles. I have yet to hear any traffic. I of course got my DMR ID for my FCC Call sign, and entered it into my TYT. I pretty much followed steps from a youtuber on how to set up the TYT.
Thoughts? Is my 10w signal insufficient to reach any repeater (most I found are 25 and most are >40 miles)? I would think I'd at least HEAR traffic? Perhaps in my area there is little or no DMR traffic?
I've been a licensed (tech) HAM now for about 4 years and have yet to make contact or even hear traffic! Prior to this radio I had a 5w BAOFENG BF-F9v2+ where I did the same thing- looked up all nearby repeaters and programmed the radio. Same deal no contacts, no traffic. All quite frustrating ..

The vid of the vid looks backward. Left is on Right, Right is on Left. Logo on back wall is reversed.

But if cell phones don’t work most of the time DMR won’t either correct? Just asking…

DMR will do simplex, too. TG99, First Coast DMR has suggested simplex frequencies on their website & FB group.

True radios rely on neither of these things

Nope, DMR doesn't need repeaters or internet to work, it's a true radio mode.

The whatsapp scammer is doing the reply stuff again. That is not legit, folks.
