I disagree with Funky I buy Memoirs from Celebrities for motivation! Will book inspired me to keep chasing my dreams! Her book helped me with finding the right agent

She just dangled some of the salacious details, which people determined was the core of the book. It's not. It's okay to critique, but people need to READ THE BOOK FIRST so opinions can be based on actual facts.

I don't think he was "calling her out" but just asking that (since she's mentioned several times before that she may possibly like to write a memoir one day) she should now share what she'd include inside it.
I think it was fitting that he asked and I remember her always saying that if she actually did put one together, she'd want it to be inspiring. I feel that she just wants to help other people even if it helps at least one person. (I don't think she says it because she thinks that she's that huge/famous or that she's going to touch millions and millions of lives.)
Frankly, I'd like to read her life story because I also went thru abuse as a young girl then as a young woman (molestation then rahppe). In my opinion, Claudia is very talented, strong, intelligent, and more so I believe her memoir would be interesting.
@mrivera7696 but, why can't Jada want the same thing? Claudia says she didn't read a page, nor an excerpt, so how would Claudia know Jada is writing the book from a high horse? Jada is also saying in her story, "this is how I figured it out. This is what I did. Don't do what I did". You can't have an opinion on a book you have not read.

Maybe the people that read it didn't particularly like it. I can name a few books I've read that are flops to me. It doesn't help that some celebrities believe that parts in the book are lies. I read it and it's not my "I'll buy another" on my list. It is ok.

Funky is wrong! Yes, lots of people buy celebrity memoirs because they want gossip but there are also lots and lots of us who want to see outs lives in somebody whose gone thru trials and tribulations and made it to the other side so we can see that actually is possible to come away from it all ok (or at least a bit better). Some of us actually do yo to the books for inspiration. There are still other folks who may not be shopping for the "te" or motivation but instead just to get to know a little more about the background of that writer. We may be intrigued by where they grew up, what the family was like, etcetera. Anyway, I'd like to read Claudia's story some day. If she waits a few more years she'll have so much more to add to the story.

Thank you, Al for explaining the difference between being #81 on a retail website and being #3 on a BEST SELLER’S LIST. The purpose of writing a memoir is for the author to give you their background story, which Jada does. Contrary to what Claudia says, Jada doesn’t speak about how she’s “better” than anyone, she’s simply telling you her life story and what she’s learned from it. And to Funky’s comment-what’s considered “tea” in a memoir is subjective to the reader.
If y’all don’t like Jada, just say that. But don’t make a misleading video title and spread misinformation. Also, don’t judge a book by its cover. Either read the book before commenting or just say you won’t read the book and move on to the next thang lol. The hateration & holleration is unnecessary. ❤

I usually hope people do well on their endeavors; however, I am hoping that Jada will go and sit down somewhere, since her book is not "Worthy" people are just "plain" sick of her "capitalizing" off of her dysfunctional marriage, and talking "negatively" about her husband, and her marriage!

I reckon alot of folks are mad at Jada cos theyve been subconsciously living vicariously through her and Will (relationship goals). Their unconventional marriage isnt for everyone but if it works for them ...good for them. A large part of the book relates to mental health, a topic we as black folks don't talk about enough.
Black people should not be taking advice about mental health from narcissistic lying individuals that does nothing but create more confusion for someone dealing with a mental illness.

The book is actually about her emotionally challenged journey..and emo growth. That's why there are quotes, passages for thought. It allows the reader to conceptualize where her head was at that particular stage of her journey.

Claudia has a bee in her bonnet about Jada! And the only thing I can go to is jealousy cos why?? Claudia has referenced soooo many little stories about ppl she’s interacted with in Hollywood on TGIF. She told all Jamie foxx business and he let her have it. Now she has qualms about telling too much and ppl on their ‘high horse’. Claudia you are 50. Jada is a few years older. She’s has and is doing the work on herself and I’m sorry if that makes you insecure then go do the work on yourself. Go to therapy and work through those traumas. Because from the outside looking in. Shes also a bestseller on Barnes for hardcover. You don’t have to like jada but lying about her book sales is crazy when google would tell you the truth. Ps I listened to her audiobook of Worthy and it’s phenomenal and 95% of it wasn’t picked up by the blogs so you don’t know much of anything unless you read the book

Her book is doing very well and everyone who has actually read her book has given her praises and says it is such a great read. I plan to buy it and read it. I love how she doesn't let all of this negativity stop her. I'm also glad that she has people around her that love on her b/c all of this negativity is just draining.

Im glad Al educated them on the book industry. The book is a good read, you will see she protected Will's image and now letting it go. A book is cathartic for the author, if other peopke rock with it, great, if they dont, wasnt for you.

As an author of A self-help book, "A Guide to Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness for Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship", with far less fame and assets than Jada, it's okay to make an assumption about a book, but don't treat the assumption as a fact or speak on it as one. In this case, I think these fair analysis. I agree with Claudia about Jada did a disservice to her book by giving the juicy things away, but she did more of a disservice by not explaining the purpose of the book. In all those sound bites I didn't hear anything about what she intended this book to do for the reader. So, many people have the idea in their head of just messy tea like the hosts of this show and me. I could be wrong but as much as it sold, which was great regardless of what it didn't sell, I think it could've sold more if she presented the book and allowed readers to expose the juicy messy tea in posts on social media.
But big ups to Jada and may she find peace within, which is what my book "A Guide to Balance, Fulfillment, and Happiness for Yourself and a Healthy Long-Term Relationship" encourages and gives ways to do.
She probably bought a boatload of books to make the list.

This is not a race issue. People have been speaking for Britney for years and she has been legally forced into staying silent. That’s not the case for Jada. Britney’s side of the story is 20 plus years overdue. Also, not to take away from Jada’s success but Britney is an icon. People love to hear an icon tell their story. That’s why no one said anything when Will was promoting his memoir. He’s an icon as well. You have to reach a certain level of fame and admiration in order to complain about your life without having the public roll their eyes at you.

I think they look back and analyze everything and then say to each other, you know what? We were actually divorced but not on paper. So, we’ll go with that one. But now I think we’re working in things. So, that’s what we’ll live out. For now.

What about the black women who were in a relationship with Tupac at the time? What about protecting their feelings? How is telling those stories empowering them?

Jada’s book only sold 29,000+ copies v. Britney’s that sold over 1m in its first week alone. Jada is no. 3 on the NY Times Best Sellers list but she isn’t on any other best selling list. Even John Stamos’ book is outselling hers. I don’t think the poor sales have anything to do with colour. People are genuinely tired of Jada and Will at this point.

Jada Smith complains about HOLLYWOOD not wanted to work with her essentially because of the Chris Rock Slap but her assertion are not accurate, the reason why studios do not want to work with her are for a number of other reasons. There is a LAWSUIT LOOMING a copyright infringement issue that exposes the Smith Machine misappropriating material for Emancipation film which lead to someone’s DEATH. Including new ANTISEMITIC allegations or accusations made against Will and Jada. She now wants to put other books out there but on the other hand profit off the backs of other writers … She needs to clean up her mess first before she can become a REAL Guru!
