Claudia thank you for sharing your story . You and I share this in common , I too am a rape survivor . I was raped at 17 and had to make se adult decisions as well . No man has a right to tell a woman what she supposed to do with her body and the terror of becoming a mother constantly being reminded of the traumas we experienced . I remember feeling like my soul was assassinated and when I found out I was pregnant it almost drove me suicidal . And then to find out that DC department of corrections let him out early didn't notify me and he went on to kill another girl and I only found out last year Dec 21,2020 4 days before Christmas. I'm greatful for therapy,I'm greatful for the healing and meeting an amazing man and us breaking the curse and having a family . It's a woman's choice .I pray you have healed from your pain . You are not alone 🙏

As far as Texas politics it's the ENTIRE reason I decided against moving to Texas three years ago. Claudia, you should certainly LEAVE, and honestly all women should move out of that state. Vote with your feet by moving. I know that people have jobs and family and can't just up and move, but those who can should and those who can't should put a plan in place to move, even if its a year from now. It's time for women to have a great migration to states with better politics. People are leaving certain cities and states in DROVES, and women should start leaving Texas in droves. As far as Texas politics it's the ENTIRE reason I decided against moving to Texas three years ago. Claudia, you should certainly LEAVE, and honestly all women should move out of that state. Vote with your feet by moving. I know that people have jobs and family and can't just up and move, but those who can should and those who can't should put a plan in place to move, even if its a year from now. It's time for women to have a great migration to states with better politics. People are leaving certain cities and states in DROVES, and women should start leaving Texas in droves. When you pay your state taxes to Texas you're basically paying your abuser to abuse you. I just couldn't do it.
This extreme. I moved from California to Texas 3 years ago and and the only way to make change is to vote. Texas will be blue very soon. There are issues in every state and tbh California isn’t that great for black women either
