THE AMARAN AL-MW
The AL-MW is the brightest, most rugged mini LED that Aputure has ever made. Featuring a massive 6000 lux output (2x brighter than the MX), 5 built-in light FX, a 24 hrs non-stop battery life and compact metal housing with the ability to go 10 meters underwater - the MW is the most powerful pocket-sized light for no matter where life takes you.
Aputure is a company made by filmmakers, for filmmakers. This film has been a collaboration with creatives from all corners of the globe, and Aputure would like to thank the incredibly talented directors of photography who contributed to the making of this piece:

Expect to see a video from me in February taking this light on a two night hiking trip through mountains in the winter. Can’t wait to get my hands on it, coming today. Glad I held off on the MX.
Hey Aputure. Love your products. Just got an MW. Unfortunately, after running it on full power for 20 minutes the front plexi glass seemed to expand and bow out from the rest of the unit about .75 cm! I could push it back in with my thumbs but then it immediately bows back out again. You can almost hear the adhesive stick back together and then release again. Like it melted from the heat generated by the light. Seems like it could be a major design flaw
Such an underrated light. Y'all need to update it to be 1 stop brighter & come with barndoors and a mini frensel!
You guys should make a dive case for it so we can take it even deeper!

How is it compaired on lume cube ? Lume Cube gives 750 Lux at 1 meter, and AL M-W gives 300 Lux, so it is half brightness that Lume Cube right ?

Dammit aputure. I was like you know what, i dont have the money but ill buy the new mx, i wish it was waterproof but that probably wont happen for another year. Ill us the mx a lot. I wont need a new light. The mx is a beast. And then this happens. Dammit aputure why you have to be so awesome.
Need this for my road trip in an old russian army truck through whole mongolia... dust, water, and heavy off road action... and a lot of creativity... perfect test for it's quality and durability :-)
