    The speaker I bought didn’t fit the part that attaches into the panel BUT managed to at least actually take off the door using this video AND connected my speaker so honestly I’m feeling good. Also I did manage to find a way to have it in place! Great video!

      @@ProvoBeastAudio Again, the purpose of video is to actually see it done. It is far less effective to tell how to remove a panel, and then remove it off camera. I want to see exactly where your tool and your fingers are at the moment when the panel pops out. If the job itself takes 2 hands, then filming it takes a camera-man, tripod, or head strap to hold the camera.
      Also, especially since one of my old speakers doesn't work at all, I am willing to cut that one out of its mount; but I would rather drill mounting holes in the sheet metal door than cut the factory door panel. I think I would also rather let it bulge out just a little than cut it as well. since I don't have a separate tweeter, I don't have to cut anything for that. Real antique car restorers hate cut in accessories that damage original parts.

    How did you tighten those screws into the hold speaker holding part?

    • @aarongraves814
      @aarongraves814 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will need to drill holes in the old speaker housing. Once those holes are cut out, then put it on the door to mark the spots you need to drill into your door. By ripping the factory speaker apart, you will lose the little clip that holds the speaker in place

      +Provo Beast Audio Installation the ones in my car (honda civic 2003 passenger side) are light blue and green and black, it's just that I kept getting a miswiring message on my stereo screen. but now I have another problem, my passenger window won't work at all, I wonder if it has anything to do with one of the wires from the stereo/speaker

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your Window regulator is completely independent of your stereo system. Most likely you have a loose harness when you put the door panel back on. To best discover what is + and what is -, hook the old speaker up to a battery and if it pops outwards, you know you have the polarity right, if it pops inwards, switch the polarity. That will show you how it was hooked up before, allowing you to copy that for your new speakers.

      The tweeters connect into the midrage woofers in the doors. @ 6:11 shows the tweeter wire connected to the midrage woofer, @ 6:17 shows the input also connected to the midrage from the radio. The crossover was connected attached @ 5:31 which connects directly to the tweeter.
