- It’s a beautiful Easter Sunday in west Tennessee, and we are performing routine herd checks. We also are getting ready to haul the first of our fat steers to the meat locker. Thanks for watching, eat beef, and God bless!

Yeah, Clemson was really tough in the tournament. You never know what can happen in March, though!
Appreciate the videos, Mr. Lee.
Thank you!
I’m with you on the ref’s and Edey!
No doubt! Hey, you also won the weight guessing contest. Email me and I’ll get you a code for a free order on the website.
U Guys Rock. Little Willis is just such a Joy. Keep Pushing!
Thank you!
Yes. 1 again. From Missouri and raining. He has Risen.
Been a little rainy here, too. Cool, cloudy and windy today!
HAPPY EASTER
Happy Easter!
I love those RED calves. How far are you from the VA state line?
As far away as you can be and still be in h Tennessee. We are right on the Mississippi River
Are you going to check your heifers you weaned not long ago also to see if they are bread?
Yes, here in the next few weeks. Probably after we buy our new heifers. I’d like to keep ours on the other end of that farm until we get the new ones in and processed. Then, we’ll move ours back to that end where we have our pens and chute.
Afternoon Bobby , Question you don't have to have a plate on your trailer for the cows ? Love seeing all the baby's running around !!
so wonderful beautiful video Bobby i love it see so nice
Thank you!
Glad you found your missing calf. One less thing to worry about. I am a little disappointed that we didn't get to see some Mario Cart though.
You mentioned purchasing more cattle and I was curious, how's the cattle market doing so far this year? There's been a rough couple of years with market volatility and drought. Not to mention the current state of the economy. I know it varies state to state depending on the regions. Seems like you are doing alright over there in Tennessee. I really enjoy your content.
Thank you! Market has been really good lately. The high prices have definitely altered some of our plans for this year. Specifically, we are going to graze heifers rather than steers to save a little money (500 lb heifers are roughly $100/head cheaper than steers)
@@HurricaneCreekFarms That's smart and good to hear. Hopefully it continues to improve. Thank you kindly for responding. I appreciate it.
Happy Easter 🐰🐣🐰
Roughly how old are those steers you are feeding out?
Just about exactly 24 months
What do you do with all of the steers that are going to be processed.
You said 3 each week for 3 weeks.
They are sold to folks that’ll pick up the beef here at our local meat locker.
Hey Bobby Lee. Im new to cattle, in TN. I have a steer I got, he's banded but nuts haven't fallen off. when I go into the paddock with a feed bucket to give him supplemental cattle feeder (co op brand), he runs fast and aggressive at me, and looks like he won't stop, I have to put my hands up and tell him to stop. My other 3 don't do this, they have at least a 3-4 foot flight zone, this steer seems to have no flight zone.... Am I doing something wrong? Bucket association? Or just still hormonal from recently being banded? Thanks...
Probably not doing anything wrong, just a different disposition. If the testicles don’t fall off after 2 weeks, I’d check to make sure band was still in place and tight.
@@HurricaneCreekFarms thank you very much sir, I will definitely.
What was average weight of calves?
533
Males 125 to 135 pounds female calfskin usually 95 to 100 pounds
What comfortable work boots do you wear?
For my cowboy boots, I’m deeply committed to the made in USA brands: Anderson bean, Tony lama, and Justin bent rail (which I’m wearing today). For just general work boots, I have some Russell moccasins (also made in USA), danner, and Merrells that I wear.
could u calf them in a barn to save losing the odd one
Fortunately, these “lost” calves are only temporarily hidden by the cows. While, frustrating, it’s not a big problem. Calving in barns is tough because it isn’t as clean as calving on pasture and you can run into more issues with sickness. We usually only want calves indoors if we have real nasty winter weather.
Dr. They didn't call enough on Edie for a number of fouls and 3 sec calls. Alabama guy don't expect but a good game from my team. UConn will win it all. Calves are still really high.
Yeah UCONN seems like the team to beat. I don’t have an issue with much of the foul call he got, but it’s insane to think that he only committed one foul in 39 minutes, especially in a game that physical with a guy like him. At one point 9 of the 10 starters had fouls, &, of course, he was the 1 with no fouls.

What happened to the cow of death
She’s still around. She has a lameness in a back leg that has been going on for a while. She’ll calve in the next few weeks and that’ll probably be her last one with us.
Alit of referees are corrupt
What happened to the cow of death
Still have her, she’s just yet to calve. She has been lame for a few months, if that’s what you’re referencing. With that issue and her disposition, this’ll likely be her last calf for us.
