You already got a jumpstart on your seeds that is so awesome. You’re going to have an amazing garden this year with all those seeds starts you got going. Thanks for stopping by Faye! 👍🥰❤️Liz
Oh Liz this was the perfect video today to watch today ❤❤ i am so ready for spring ❤ look at all those gorgeous flowers ❤ spring is just around the corner ❤
Honestly, Jasmine I think the daffodils are my favorite. Even with all this rain and wind, they are still faithful looking beautiful. And they always come up so easily every year. I was too late buying daffodils this year. But now mine are coming up from last year. Have you ever tried growing allium ? Every year I plant those the bulbs end up rotting, and they never come up. Those have been hard for me.🫤Liz
Awwww thank you so much Bev. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I to am getting so excited for spring. Seeing the bees outside really got my heart pounding. ❤️🥰👍Liz
Hahahaha good morning Lynda! For some reason, I am always making a wrong turn and ending up at the Garden Center, imagine that! I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a beautiful Sunday! ❤️🥰👍Liz
I wish I had all that out already it's still winter up here in Pennsylvania from New Kensington I have 30 gallons at memorial Park and name my phone keeps going off sorry about that but yeah it looks so nice to look at plants I love watching everybody else's shows so thank you okay bye for now😊
Hello there, my friend in Pennsylvania. Yeah we all definitely live in different climates and conditions. That’s for sure. I’m sure in no time it will be spring and you will be out in the garden again real soon. Hope you have a beautiful day and thank you for stopping by.❤️👍👍Liz
You can always see signs of springtime when you go to HD and all the colorful flowers have arrived🎉❤the cottage garden is looking adorable - my gladiolus always flop too🤪 - see you next time 👍👏😊
Thank you for stopping by Andrea. One of my viewers recommended that I plant the Gladiola bulbs deeper. He said it makes for stronger stems. Have you ever tried that? Glad to know I’m not the only one who gets frustrated with those floppy flowers. Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday.❤️🥰👍Liz
Thank you so much for enjoying my humor. For some reason, I always make a wrong turn and end up at the garden center! Hahaha appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment. 🌸❤️🥰👍Liz
Thank you for the video. Have you tried planting your gladious a bit deeper to make firmer stalks? Or maybe put a thin support rod/stick in the hole with the gladious to tie it as it grows?
@@GardenHappy You are welcomr. I just planted 15 amaryllis a friend gave me He gave me support stakes to hold them up. They are green metal and they blend in with the stem
You are the first person I have heard of that plants amaryllis bulbs in the ground. Most people plant those in pots. I have an amaryllis bulb sitting in a box that I don’t know what to do with. Maybe I will put mine in the ground as well and see what happens. thanks again for all your tips. You are very helpful.❤️😇🌸Liz
I am in Zone 9b near New Orleans. I always plant mines in the ground and they come back every year. During the Christmas season if warm they are planted right away in the ground. But with the artic blast this year..I dug them up and potted them to bring in my conservatory. Yesterday they were planted back in the ground. Some are in full bloom and some are still in bud.
New Orleans that totally explains it. You get that nice warm tropical weather. I’m still gonna put mine in the ground and see what happens. Better in the ground than sitting in a box right?Hahaha 😄😄😄Liz
Hi Liz, I enjoy your channel. I had a comment I had made on a prophesy channel and it accidently posted on your's. Sorry about that. Have a blessed day. I deleted the post.
Hi Marci, One of my viewers told me I should put a stake in the ground right when I plant the bulb. I thought that was pretty good advise. He also told me to bury the bulbs a little deeper and that might make them more sturdy. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you stopping by. 👍🥰❤️Liz
Yes! I think the roots become more secure when you plant the corm deeper. One year I planted all white glads. It was so Stunning. Try it again. @@GardenHappy
Oh my goodness all white gladiola??? that does sound spectacular. You must’ve purchased those bulbs online? I’ve never seen a bag of all white daffodils ever. Thanks for all your comments. It’s always fun to talk about gardening stuff with other people.🌸😁
I'd put landscape fabric under those rocks. Its gonna suck weeding it and the rocks will eventually disappear with you stepping on them. They will be underground. It happened to me with those exact rocks.
Hello Cristina and thank you for the wonderful tip and suggestion. I have used landscape weed coverings in the past and absolutely hated them. I’ve used both the plastic and the black mesh fabric and did not like that any better. It seems like the weed seeds are trapped on the fabric and still grow. and also, I have seen weeds grow through that black cloth. I just did not have any luck with those barriers. So this is the first time I am not using them. Maybe I will regret it? We will see. I appreciate you taking the time to comment! ❤️🥰👍Liz
@@GardenHappy it does grow on those landscape fabric but a lot less. Have you seen the heavy duty kind? It’s sooooo thick. I also hate landscape fabric but it’s needed for me whenever I do rocks mainly because the rocks eventually go underground as you continually step on them.
Oh my goodness that is so true! For some reason I always make a wrong turn and end up at the garden center. Haha Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday.! ❤️🥰👍Liz
