Ok, so here’s my theory: After the mine collapsed in (on?) “Big Bad John,” the miners needed new jobs. Three of them became janitors, and one became a supervisor. They’re still going “Way Down,” just not into a mine. I’m just glad they were able to find work (and that we know their names now). Seriously though, I’ve been a huge Elvis fan my entire life, and Geoff did not disappoint with this cover. It is absolutely AMAZING! The singing, the dancing, the personalities of the clones are all just sheer perfection and so much fun. This is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite Geoff Castellucci video ever. At least until he releases another one next month.
One thing that consistently surprises me is Geoff takes on songs by HUGE icons, songs dangerous to try to cover for risk of fandom ire, and he NAILS it. Every. Single. Time. That's talent, hard work, and courage right there. Anybody "Down" for a cover of "Lady" by Lionel Richie, as made famous by the great Kenny Rogers? A lowered version of that would melt the world.

You really let loose on this one, WOW, what a performance Geoff! You put a wonderful spin on this old song and the concept, arrangement, acting and especially the dancing (definitely want more of that please) were hugely enjoyable. The Geoffettes were absolutely hysterical, snacking on floor popcorn, licking a toilet brush, 😂 and nerdy Goff with his clipboard was adorable! I'm not sure what I expected with this one but I wasn't ready for the goofy hilarity, you made me smile, laugh and squeal with delight! I hope you had as much fun making this as we did watching it! Of course we have the delicious buttery tone of your voice to entertain as well. I know you worked hard for that low C1 and it sounded awesome, very much appreciated. You went sooo way down on this I wouldn't be surprised if whales didn't hear you and exclaim "who the hell was that"? 🤣😍💜
