- Heavy rain hit South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota and the rivers couldn't keep up. Lot of areas are flooded. People have been displaced from their homes. Businesses have been affected. Road are closed all over. Walter and I are safe and dry but we have a family member who was affected. I went to Falls Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where the Big Sioux River runs through. With the excess rain, the water is gushing. I have never seen it like this.
Prayers to all affected

I am from Sioux Falls and have family there, in Lennox and in Worthing. Lennox and Worthing are in tough shape. Thanks for posting this NeeNeeMarie!
Oh I didn't know Lennox and Worthing were affected too! Thank you for sharing!
NENE! I'M FROM LE MARS! Great coverage. I've been doing 12 shifts all wkend so never got out to see any thing.
Is Lemars flooded? I think there's a creek near there, right?
@neeneemarie yes, they had to evacuate the campground Friday or early early Saturday morning and removed everything from both ball diamonds on floyd river. Homes and the "pit" le mars municipal park we pretty well flooded out. Worse than 2017.
Saturday we had girls taking up to 1 hour driving around flooded country road & back tracking trying to get to the nursing the home. Everyone made it safe! By morning though the road they found in Hinton was wash washed out. It's sad. Definitely working my Rosary extra hard and calling on my Saints.
That’s terrifying to see the water so angry up close!
I live right by the Little Sioux River in Iowa. The river is the highest I have seen. Right now, all bridges around me are closed. The "major" town to the north of me Spencer is completely flooded. If we wanted to drive anywhere, there is no way to leave my town. The forecast for my area is calling for thunderstorms overnight. We don't need any more rain in my area.
I heard Spencer was one that got hit hard! There are so many roads closed! I don't think I've ever seen it this bad. Is your house okay?
@neeneemarie My house is good. The river would have to rise 7 more feet to affect us. It is just nuts with all the road closures. Today, there were people in their boats fishing where the ballfield are. In a way, it is funny, but then not at the same time.
My friend lived in rock valley
Their home washed away down the river Friday night early Saturday. 😢
@@feistylady5707I'm glad you are at least safe!
@@queendawnyI'm so sorry for your friend :(
Omg, NeeNee
The Falls were cool to watch but there are so many people who's homes were ruined :(
Water is the most powerful element out there in my humble opinion.
I read that too fast and thought you said Walter. I'm like well he is a big boy 😂 You are right. Water and fire are scarily powerful.
Cool but scary
Agree on both. You could feel the power of the water just standing on the sidewalk
Wow this weather lately is insane !! We have drought where I live lots of wild fires 🔥. I pray no one gets really hurt here 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Oh my
Yup :(
If it wasn't for the flood, it would be a beautiful sight.
Agree!
praying for the affected by this. stay safe
💜💜
SF is one of the best planned cities in the world.
SF is well planned. All the flooding affected greenways and parks. No buildings in the town were affected.
How are the rivers now?
This was recorded yesterday so still high :(
This is awful
Where’s your kayak? “Adventure is out there!”
Someone kayaked over the Falls 8 years ago! Not when it was flooded. It's illegal to do that. I saw a yt vid of his gopro but I think he had to take the vid down. I prefer lakes and creeks! Lol
Just in my own experience and other's in my area, plants are dying, farmers are losing crops and usable land at an alarming rate, flooding, fires, droughts etc., we can't keep up 😢
This is absolutely insane
