The first indoor passage after blowing the first generator is highly rng dependant on which spawn you get, as there are some minor variations. The variation I got there was *always* an elite staring through the second window (rather than staring away from it as he is in your spawn) - and half the time I got spotted in the first window as well. I also sometimes got 4x golden jackals rather than 3x golden 1x silver jackals as is shown in your clip. I think it helps to know a bit more about the area for the final generator too, as if you skip right past that with a ghost then the banshee near the end won't spawn.
For those on PC in 2021: - Bandana on works - Killing a grunt and "revert to last checkpoint" works - Dying doesn't matter (albeit I think if you die by explosion and your nades explode and kill grunts you're screwed - got a few killtaculars just by dying without shooting) Information I wish I knew before I started; 1. As he mentions: you just have to make it past the alleyway after the soul draining room, once you're there it's plain sailing as it's mainly horde. 2. Your nades, when you die, count as kills (I'm going on the basis that I didn't shoot a bullet, get plasma grenaded then get a killtacular as my nades explode) so you're better off just "revert to last checkpoint" as soon as you die Things that I knew that helped me; I've done the halo CE LASO achievements and par score/time, all of which helped me with little bits of knowledge like, as SSC mentions, pushing the ghost through the door albeit you can't just run to the end of the level from there. I did both "leave it where it lay" and this; the infinite ammo really helped, as you have infinite nades you don't really need a rocket launcher.
For anyone trying yo do this with acrophobia, don't bother ot causes all kinds of issues with checkpoints not working correctly and you'll waste hours trying to get this broken and buggy ass level to work like it's supposed to
I got it to work fine with the skull and flying everywhere. Just do a normal Easy fun first if you don’t know the level. So long as you know the rough area of each checkpoint and title card you can do the mission ‘normally’ whilst flying through
okay, does friendly fire count against me? in my case, in the midway area where the 4 Elites are in the room with the ramp, one of the grunts used a grenade when i was in cover and blew everyone up but me
restart checkpoint, on the run that i got it, (for the pc release) i killed a grunt at his 2:54 run, because i had done it a few times, and instead of a jackal, a grunt came out. also dont worry if others kill grunts, its just you who cant.
Thanks for the notice, but I just watched through the video and it was fine? Maybe try a different quality setting? Other than that, I'm not sure what's wrong as it's fine on my end...
All of this for 10 fucking gamerscore. It's truly worth 50 or 100 gamerscore. I wish 343 would increase some of the gamerscore on a few achievements like this one because 5 or 10 gamerscore just isn't wortht it. I know they have so many achievements and a total of 7000 gamerscore with the game now, but what harm would it do to increase the game's total to 8000-10000 gamerscore?

It should work skulls disable time score related achievements but coop probably is still easiest method

im sure you figured it out by now but it does not count against you. thats why flood can kill grunts and still get the achievement.
