Let's do a constructive Jon Batiste comment: I like his style, love his music and what he conveys when he plays (as a musician I'm very critical of that). BUT: it seems like he isn't used to being on stage, playing off with somebody else. It IS a bit cringe-worthy from time to time. I hope they find a way to get Jon more used to it so that it makes "click" and he gets a feeling what his role should be.

+Justin Clem Maybe Colbert sees something in him. Or the other show runners. Batiste seems to humble to be like "I WANNA BE MORE IN THE FOREGROUND!" I like the show in it's entirety, I trust Colbert and his team to put out a great product. I'd be surprised if they wanted to shoehorn Batiste because it's tradition?
