I LOVE these "how long does it take to use up ..." videos!! It really helps me stay motivated to use up what I have and not purchase new makeup when I really don't need it. You do such an amazing job, not only panning these products but also gathering the information and presenting it to us in a fun and informative way. You are #PanningGoals
I'm going to make it my goal to finish some of my Becca highlighters by the end of the year... I didn't realize how doable that would be, because I tend to rotate between a few highlighting products. Blush on the other hand, I'm afraid to even calculate. I'll report back in approximately 106 years hahaha. Great video!
Thanks! Honestly, I just have a google drive spreadsheet with sections divided up by category (Blushes, eyeshadow palettes, lip products, etc) and every morning after I do my makeup I increase the # next to each product by 1.
I really enjoy these kids of videos. The video where you shared how many times it took to hit pan on thebalm blush was the first I ever watched of yours. I don’t even think you had 2K subs yet. Love watching these. Thank you for taking the time to record all this. I bet it’s a lot of work. Alex
I've never finished a powder blush, highlighter or bronzer so even if the mini is a major rip off it's still cheaper for me overall! I have multiples of each that I just keep rotating. I have too much makeup considering I only wear it a few days a week lol
This is great! The Tarte Paaarty! Blush is currently in my project pan so it's nice to see how long that took you. I also already panned a mini Becca highlighter and the same UD lip pencil. The highlighter took me about the same amount of time to use up but there lip pencil lasted a bit longer. Thanks for doing these videos! They are so interesting and informative!!!
Thank you putting so much effort and time for these videos! I watch your content while I’m getting ready in the morning. You reminded me that I don’t need everything that is released. Also, I’m a data driven and visual person. Therefore, I love the table!
If you use a specific brush with powder products, will you show it in your next one of these? I feel like everyone uses up powder products faster than I do, and I'm not sure if it's a difference in brushes or that I use a lighter hand.
Thank you for sharing these pinpoints! I am not a project panned girl, but looking at how much I use my products seems easy to me. When you love and enjoy using makeup, it will go by quicker, especially the favorites. I've also have been selling my eyeshadow palettes, so I have less in my collection. Have a Blessed day and God Bless 💛😊
I’m curious to know how you track your uses day to day? Do you just tally in a notebook or something? Either way I’m lazy as hell and I commend you *salutes*
I received the Tarte love, trust, and fairydust vault for my birthday (August 15) it came with blush which I use daily. Nine months later and I've yet to see pan at all so two years of use sounds about right.
I appreciate these videos and I realize it's a ton of work ! I understand your point of view on the Becca mini but I still think it's a decent option for people who never use up or even hit pan on their products :)
These are always so interesting to watch! I had that Tarte blush and I hit lots of pan, repressed it, hit more pan, but it kept breaking off in chunks after maybe another 2-3 months so I eventually just called it quits. I think I used it for 1.25 years and cleared maybe 80% of the product, so not too shabby!
I have multiple shades of the Tarte mini blushes and I believe that it’s more of a formula difference between shades rather than a difference between the full size and minis. Some shades are powdery enough to pick up nicely with a brush and Exposed is definitely more hard and dry
I love these videos of yours! SO informative and helpful :D and about the tarte blush, I also think that the full sized of 'exposed' is formulated drier and packed-in a lot harder. I hit pan on my first one after 2.5 years (and I use it most days lol) but by then it started to smell so I ended up buying a new one and the formula was the same; dry/hard/no pigmentation if you try to swatch it. I feel like I really have to dig my brush in there or use something like the elf blush brush (something with 'harder' bristles if you get what i mean) to get the product. I don't mind it though but yes it takes longer to finish. I have a full-sized of the tarte paaarty blush and it's a lot softer and has some fallout when I use it so I think the formula is different.
I have this memory of being in a waiting room and my mom pulled out a Becca Moonstone from her purse, opened it, pulled out a mini pancake and snacked on that while we were waiting
Bea Alea that’s what I was thinking, imagine that being one of your earliest memories. On top of that I asked her if I could have one and she said she didn’t have anymore
I've been taking photos of used products in the last year, and here's what I've managed to use up: 10 lipsticks 1 lip balm 4 mascaras 2 lipliners 7 eyeliner pencils (all colours, different formulas, some automatic some not) 1 potted cream eyeshadow (maybellne tattoo one) 4 foundations 2 concealers 2 face powders 1 quatro eyeshadow palette 34 items in total I decluttered 3 old quatro eyeshadows and 3 old colored eyeliners and one big low quality eyeshadow is about to go too. I think that a lady can track what she uses and see how many products she rotates and how many she finishes in a year. I wear makeup every day. There are some weekends when I don't go out so I don't wear it but then there are days when I have to put it twice. If I use 33 products each year and declutter another 7, it means that it would take me at least 3 years to fully finish a 100 item collection. I say that because I need to restock items like mascaras. I also don't have as big foundation or concealer back up as an eyeshadows one. If I buy I'll buy only on sale because it would be ridiculous to do otherwise. There were some LE items I bought when they came out only because there were only 4 or 5 for sale in store where I live, but those weren't expensive anyway, just some cute Christmasy items. I have a spreadsheet with all my items, total and goal number to remind me what I don't need and what I do have. Thank you for inspiring videos. Have a lovely weekend, Natasha! ❤
Yeah, the Becca travel sizes have gotten stupid expensive. I used to buy the travel size primers because they were cheaper per oz than the full size. The price went up a couple bucks and now the travel size is much more expensive per oz!
I got the beautiful Tarte paaarty birthday gift blush in August 2017 and I’ve almost made it through the pattern?!? I saw one of your videos on this topic early on and stopped buying blushes immediately. Thank you!
I absolutely love this series. I hope you always do these. Thank you for all the work that this must have taken. I really love it. Wow hows that for perspective nearly two years. I think you're right on formula one of my tarte blushes i hit pan and have nearly finished it. It was more buttery than my other full size one which is pretty much rock solid. I love the inserts of the photos with the blurry edges i dont know how you did that. The graph is a helpful visual. Thank you xx
I've been so inspired by you and this series Tash. I've been tracking everything in my project pans. Its quite exciting to see how many uses it takes to finish a product. I just finished a mini (3g.) Dermablend powder. It took me over 3 months and 89 uses to completely finish! Crazy huh? I love this series!
I been panning my Lorac pro palette and Thebalm nude tude palette my blush I been panning is the Essance satin touch blush in satin coral my favorite blush my ELF beauty and the beast blush combo they had at wal greens I been panning I use it as eyeshadow as well it's all most gone
It took me a year to use up a Tarte exposed blush back in the day. FYI the Amazonian clay formula shouldn’t be swatched with fingers. If you add finger oil to the clay formula it will cause hard pan.
Eyeshadows acne really take a long time to use up. I am almost done with the too faced Christmas pallette from a few years ago. It has almost been 8 months. Crazy.🤗
Hey tash I can tell You that I bought a Laura gellar balance and Brighten powder from qvc over three years ago, use it everyday as setting powder and only just hit pan, hope that's useful Paula aged 64 in the uk
Careful with that! Mascara is only good for 3 months after opening, otherwise you risk an eye infection. I don't know how often you use mascara, but it is the one thing you might not want to pan
This really puts it into perspective yo me just how expensive make0up really is. I appreciate you doing these videos so much, Tash. Just thinking abt figuring up the results gives me a headache Lol! TFS! ~ Nona
I have a full size tarte Blush and the negative I find is it get really bad hard pan that i have to scrap the top layer away fairly often so I feel like that changes the use
It’s funny to know that some of the makeup products are too easy to use up quickly and some take such a long, long time, and both facts might be frustrating 😁.
Really interesting to hear how long it approximately takes to use up a blush! It inspires me even more not to buy 50 of them. I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos!
It has been almost year and a half since a buy candle light from too faced, it hasn’t run out. I’m desperate to try new products hahahahaha. Please run out stupid highlighter
My 3 yo got a hold of my brand new UD lip primer and it was gone in ten minutes. I guess it is different for everyone.
Hahaha
01:30 mini blush = 141 uses
04:19 mini highlighter = 71 uses
06:06 eyeshadow stick primer = 63 uses
Thank you!
🙏🥀
I always love those videos. I feel like nobody does this except you and its so ... informative? It really does give perspective...
Yassss And she isn't yelling or playing loud music in the background like most makeup gurus.
look up beauty news! Theyre really big and have high quality informative videos on this :)
2 years for a blush.. yep that seems right! I’m still working on a Milani blush from summer 2017 and I only wear makeup 4-5 days a week.

Bethany Manson Makes me think I probably will not make my pan goal tie 19 items this year!
@@StaciLeaBeauty i believe in you! you've got this ;)
Bethany Manson Thanks!

Heather K i have one and I used it everyday for 3 months and I hit a pan fr so it won’t take you tooo long x
Found your channel not long ago and it's already given me so much motivation to pan! I look so forward to these videos!
Id love an explanation of how you track uses. I am impressed with your dedication and organization!!! Love it!

@@tyannahilliard7853 Thank you!!
It's so satisfying to hit pan with a product! Love your review!
Thank you! :)
These videos are so helpful for my no buy. I have makeup for the next 10 years.
I love these videos and I find them so insightful. Yes!! Please expand this series. It is so good!

Tarable Decisions The Tarte blush is in my pan project too!
This is such good perspective on how long it takes to finish products and a reminder that I do not need to buy anything new

You have a beautiful glow. I am trying to use some old makeup, but all I want is some of your eye shadows 😂
😂😂

Tash: how long does it take to use up blush
Me: 5000 years 😂😅😬
Jenna War so true! I intend to update my will and distribute my blush collection to very special people.
4 cents for Tarte blush is a deal when you put it that way. Thanks for sharing!

In Australia the full size becca highlighters are $64 and the mini is $62 like how does that work? 😐
evy Kassiotes move to the US. That is too expensive for makeup!!
Kourttneex3 yeah I know but it’s the conversion rate
always love your perspective in these videos!!! it must take a lot of effort to track everything so carefully, but the information is hella useful

OMG yess back with this kind of video! It takes so much work
I've been taking photos of used products in the last year, and here's what I've managed to use up:
10 lipsticks
1 lip balm
4 mascaras
2 lipliners
7 eyeliner pencils (all colours, different formulas, some automatic some not)
1 potted cream eyeshadow (maybellne tattoo one)
4 foundations
2 concealers
2 face powders
1 quatro eyeshadow palette
34 items in total
I decluttered 3 old quatro eyeshadows and 3 old colored eyeliners and one big low quality eyeshadow is about to go too.

I have a full size tarte Blush and the negative I find is it get really bad hard pan that i have to scrap the top layer away fairly often so I feel like that changes the use
How do you get the graphs on your video!?!
For blush wouldnt it be 2 uses per makeup application? I swirl my blush once per cheek
Ive been using Tarte parrrrrty forever. Im going to have to hunker down on it since it didn't take you that long to finish.
This is exactly what I need to hear !
Hey tash I have a quick question. When you say uses like for your blush, what I count that as each time I dip my brush in or each day i use it?
Very interesting video. First time to your channel.
Thank you!
If I only wear eyeliner, mascara and concealer, how long will it take me to use up my blush collection? 🤭
Hahahah
22?! I got this mini and the liquid one for $20 awhile back
It would be interesting to calculate about how much it takes to wear a full face of makeup a day. With skincare added etc.
I liked before watching 👍
shocked at how little the uses in the highlighter!

It has been almost year and a half since a buy candle light from too faced, it hasn’t run out. I’m desperate to try new products hahahahaha. Please run out stupid highlighter
I have 4 years worth of Tarte blush alone! Add in all my others and it is probably like 6 or 7 years. Time to stop buying blush!
