The New Texas Giant the greatest addition of the decade and it started a new roller coaster revolution with RMC.
They shouldn’t of removed the original Harley Quinn spinsanity, they could’ve just re-themed it to any other villain...

Great job on this. I miss the 2000-2009 Six flags when the park had a much better value to it.
It made me sad when the rocket and Texas chute our was removed because I never got to ride them...I was little and scared of heights, now I’m not scared of heights but I missed my chance
Texas Chute Out was a fun ride. You can still ride one at Great Adventure. I won’t say you missed much not getting to ride the Looping Starship. 😂😂😂

Feel like a b&m coaster on the water like mako next to judge Roy scream would be nice with wing coaster or a GCI between new Texas giant & titan would make the line up nice.
Super Flow that would never happen cuz SF is too cheap to buy a B&M
Realistically, It could be a RMC raptor or a S&S launch coaster.

Thank you! I think people loved the parade. It was a pretty high value production for the park at the time that only lasted two summers, unfortunately. The only other amazing thing like this that has happened in my life was Coobrila. Primarily the first year in 2007. 2008 was very phoned in.
According to EVERY coaster enthusiasts this is one of the best six flags parks and I agree this park is HUGE and when u look at it from the enterstate it’s sooooo amazing and this park on a sunny days easily one of the best experience
I would disagree. I feel this parks operations were less professional during my visit compared to Fiesta Texas. Masks were not being enforced consistently and even ride operators were not wearing them correctly. The single rider back seat rule kills me. And trying to find a working water fountain I found to be rather difficult in comparison to Fiesta Texas. Yea, you can argue SFOT overall has better coasters. But I honestly preferred SFFT when it comes to coasters and how the park is run.

Joy im not a fiesta texas fan i rlly only go there for Iron rattler and sometimes wonder woman i just think its ify but its a good park i just think over texas is better it has its up and downs but its still amazing

I really wish Sixflags would put more attention into the park especially with DFW being one of the fastest growing urban areas . Here is a crazy thought what if Sixflags were to ask for some kind of tax incentive for SFOT since the city of Arlington like to throw money at developers. They could promise the tallest something rollercoaster and say it will bring in more tourism and the city will buy it up real quick.
Better hope they can just survive unscathed at this point.

Great video. I would love to see more of these videos, especially if you did 80's and 90's because that's when I went as a kid. I missed all the 2000's and I wasn't alive in the 60's or 70's, but it would be nice to see what I missed too.
You did an excellent job researching for this series; thank you! I loved the 50th anniversary celebration, in 2011-12. I liked seeing all the old signs reminding guests of what attractions used to be there, like Pac-Man.
Man acne rocket hit hard, I forgot about all the rides that got demolished.
I went from 1974 - 1989, every year, split between Astro World and Six Flags. What a great time. I went to Six Flags once more in super late 1990's or early 2000's. Interesting, but had to many rides that made you sick. Not enough water anything, long lines, a clear decline, and the entire point of Six Flags over Texas, it is about Texas. Price point and theme's have kept me from coming back, and the fact that they got rid of Astro World, big mistake there. Turned me off so bad, I have not even been to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and how long has that been open??, Although, thanks to your channel, I will be booking for next year there, as at least they keep their theme true, Fiesta, southwest/Mexican/TexMex/German/Polish/Cezch...etc. You know all about Texas, which was the entire point of Six Flags. the first one. The Greed killed it. Once the Bankers got it, they ruin everything they touch. Great Show.

I'm going to miss all the old stuff that I grew up with. Sad to see things change.
All the constant changes, and for little to no reason. The park lost its unique identity of the flags of different countries -areas you could explore with themed rides and restaurants. They opted for corporate comic movie and cartoon characters. That would be fine for a different park, but it's not Six Flags Over Texas!! What the hell? They ruined the original park just like Disney is killing their parks now too
Enough with the movie IP themes. Get back to creating one of a kind environments.
I hated the "More Flags, More Fun" campaign.
So basically a decrease in Qualtity
It is a roller coaster with the company. There will be a handful of years where quality increases. Then a handful of years where they drive it into the ground. The cycle is sure to continue until they have to start selling parks off.

Yes please... I always been curious about Fiesta Texas since it's still a baby compared to the other parks that were built in the great entertainment boom of the 70's.
I wish that flashback was just moved to a different part of the park.

I wish I understood why they took out some of those iconic Looney Tunes kids rides and replaced them with a wooden playground 🙄😂
All rides and structures meet the end of their life. I can guarantee that it was the case for a number of the attractions removed.

How do you know the new CEO will improve things?
Nobody knows. Investors have essentially taken all control over how the company operates for the quick buck. But he has visited all the parks and is concerned with the lack of quality. He’s admitted that they need to improve customer service and guest experience. He was also the one who put out the stock warning because the company wasn’t as in good of shape as the old CEO tried to push. I also received a survey asking me about falling apart buildings, eating area quality, customer service, etc. It is just my glimmer of positive hope that he will be given a chance.

2010 Six flags started cutting Entertainment at many parks. It’s all good until fright fest at Sfgadv... that parks entertainment is starting to become plain sad lol... how is FF at SFOT?
I thought the ACME ship, came from Astroworld?
The main structure came from SFOG after it was removed to make way for their Goliath coaster. I don’t doubt that it is made up of parts from both rides as it was already somewhat obsolete when it arrived at SFOT.
I just looked back on an old satellite image of SFOT and there are tons of extra Starship parts in the parking lot, though the ride was already constructed and operating.

It isn’t super clear information. I was working at the park around the time so had a bit of an advantage in that aspect.
