Great review and demo. I chose this stove for the same reasons, no loose parts, fast set up and very lightweight. Winter or summer I never leave it behind. 👍
Thank‘s a lot for this short video about this stove. Like your review because you‘re not talking any orher shit, only most important information! Best regards from Germany
Man that stove has had a lot of burn time, the titanium has gone through it's last colour change to almost white. Great to see how this stove looks after some long term usage. Thanks man, for your thoughts i think i know what stove im going for now ;)
I can’t wait to fire it up again for this winter. It’s just about cold enough now to make it worth it! One thing I love about the hot tent set up is getting excited for winter camping!
It came with a spark arrestor (its the topmost piece) I am not sure exactly the setup you are describing. If it’s just to put a pipe up through the middle of the tent, the pipe is ten feet I believe so it would do fine going up through just about any stove pipe jack over a tent.
Michael Santos the pipe is also titanium, I am not sure how easy it would be to replace but titanium would be awfully hard to break. There is a sleeve that comes with the stove that you put over the pipe for the parts the touch the stove jack (the part of the tent where the pipe exits) to keep the pipe insulated from the tent.
I put a link to the product in the description. I am usually trying to go over features more than the cost but if I remember to I will add the cost in the video that I paid.
Hey, I'm just planning to do some winter camping. And I like this stove. I'm just worried about the lifespan of this one. Is it worth it ? As well, what is this green/blue color on it ? Cheers ;)
I’m not sure about the lifespan. Titanium is a pretty tough material so I would anticipate it lasting quite some time. Mine has a little bit of wear on it, mostly from not being as careful as it should be and I have had it out several weeks worth of trips. I will have it out many weeks this winter so I will have a better answer for you in the spring. The green/blue color is caused by oxidation from heat. From my understanding it doesn’t hurt the metal but does make it look pretty cool. physics.stackexchange.com/questions/249807/why-do-color-of-metals-change-when-they-are-heated
It is a ton to shell out for that piece of equipment. I went all on it because it allowed to expand into four season backpacking easier. It added a new wrinkle into winter backpacking as well because of the ability to cook inside the tent. I guess it always comes down to how much your going to use the gear you invest into. I have used mine enough that it has paid for itself and I am sitting here in summer thinking about all the cool places I can set it up at this winter! Thanks for the comment!
@@bradinthebuff5261 hey Brad, I actually changed my mind on the stove today and ordered one. I just can not approach that weight without buying titanium material which costs more then to just purchase the stove. Thanks for your reply and the review.
@@mobilewintercamp7515 I've been using stoves in winter and on fall canoe trips for years and I agree its the only way to go. I'm just searching for a lighter setup. I've built countless stoves and they all work great. Last night I ordered a titanium stove from lux gear $329 with pipe. Do you have a channel? Thank you for your input.
Look a bit bent out of shape for near as damn it £500 I think I'd rather just get a none folding stove until someone makes one that looks like it'll last
Yeah, they are definitely built thin to keep them lite weight. You can definitely get sturdier builds but typically going to weight significantly more. I got this one for the range it gave me to get out in the middle of nowhere with my tent.
want to get one of these but that pipe section looks flimsy as hell, i can see yours has quite a few crumpled sections. i doubt there's much you can do about this.
The pipe section is flimsy as hell, that’s the cost of making it ultra light I suppose. I should hav been more Careful with my burn in on it and if you don’t use the guylines properly then it will definitely get damaged. If I had it to do over again I would have cut the pipe down a few feet to fit what I needed to work for the biggest hot tent I had so it didn’t have as much span and would have been more careful. It is super light though. If you aren’t going far or are using it for a base camp at a fixed location I would get something heavier grade.

I have really enjoyed mine. I am thinking about getting a heavier set up as well but this one is awesome to take out on a. Backpacking trip!

Glad it helped!
Winter is the best time to camp
Agreed!
Cool and Thanks 👍✌

Great work on video mate greetings from spain 👍👍👍
Thanks! All the way from across the ocean!
Can you buy additional pipes and mount it on the middle in a tentipi 5 tent?! It also came with a spark arrestor?

What material is the pipe made off? Can you easy replace it if it breaks? Do you have an extra protection for the heat of the pipe using it in a tent?

How come you didn’t tell us how much the thing cost?

@@bradinthebuff5261 Alright thank you for your answet Brad. I don't think I'll wait till spring ^^ I wanna try it bad this winter ;)
Great review. Not sure if I can justify $500 for a stove and pipe but it sure is a dandy set up. Thanks for the video!

Awesome! Let me know how it goes!
Big Sky I’ve been in -4F with a similar stove and my tent was cozy warm. Fits in a backpack .

@@bradinthebuff5261 well apparently they make a “plus” version with solid pipe sections, but I can’t find it in stock anywhere in the US.
I never knew that. Thanks for letting me know. That would be an interesting upgrade
