- Here's the first video from my trip to Donington Park in March with Opentrack - my first session out and I had a couple of laps with a well driven McLaren 570S. He was trying to get heat in his tyres which is how I was keeping up, but it was a great drive anyway!
I went out with him later as a passenger and he was driving very well.

Lol that McLaren's not even trying and he's not risking getting too close to traffic, still not bad driving on the track mate
The mclaren essentially brake checking you by hogging the left the whole time should get crapped on as he should
Excellent driving and good commentary mate! If I get myself sorted I'll come and join you on a trackday soon
Damn right! Good to see you back on the tube
Very smooth mate 👌🏼car sounds amazing
... i wanna 570s... or GT... maybe one day...
that's whot we wonted! that beast on the track more :)
Well, apart from several drivers taking the scenic route, not a lot happened. The McLaren seemed awfully slow through the corners, and your M3 seems to be very well-sorted.
i very much doubt the driver would want to boot it just on the off-chance he went off.
@@mclste When Cletus nearly runs up your backside when you're going round a corner, then you are going round the bend very slowly‼️🤪🤪🤪
I know the owner of the 570S 😂
That mclaren was awesome!
Nice driving James. I was pleased that you overtook the McClaren. You were all over him.
The Melbourne Loop was built in 1985 to increase the lap distance to 2.5 miles, primarily for Grand Prix motorcycle racing and not for Formula 1.
Good video.. you was much better on braking going into redgate 👍🏿
Very nice smooth driving as well, effortless almost whilst going at quite a pace.
Great video, was at Donington this weekend to see the racing.
When was this . i want to come hahaha. keep up the good work
Nicely done. Car sounds good and meaty. :)
Nice MG ZR , it's a MG CUP car if I'm not mistaken 😁
Great video and commentary @JayEmm - It is great to see my Macca from behind... You are correct in that I was struggling with tyre temperatures, plus conserving the very expensive ceramic discs... 1st world problems hey... Are you coming to VMAX200 on the 11th May?
Regrettably I will be in North Carolina on a car rally - tough life! Hope to bump into you soon, and thanks for the passenger ride
@@MightyMouse247 much appreciated, I'll drop you a line on Instagram soon
Nice driving!
Do I understand you rode/raced m/cycles around there in your, er, perhaps slimmer youth?
Ride bikes there a couple of times previous, wasn't any slimmer
Any thoughts on the type 130
Car sounds fantastic!
Your m3 sounds great. What power is it running? It looked very quick.

JayEmm on Cars that’s a lot. How I would love that sort of power.
That supercharger whine sounds amazing!
Not the SC, its diff whine
What a great video to watch, loved it
Second.
I enjoyed a few laps of the Donington GP circuit in my Caterham, which was fun. Craner curves were flat out, but then it was only a 1.6 K series and before I had the supersport upgrade. As for your BMW, I'm afraid that paddle shift clicking away when 'you' change gear just annoys me... it reminds me of playing driving games on PC with a cheap steering wheel. It's just one less thing to make you feel involved with the driving experience.
